New Delhi: Mahindra University has released the 3-Year LL.B. (Honours) program for future-ready legal experts, with an initial intake of 60 students. To be qualified for this program, students should have earned a grade equivalent to or greater than 60 percent in their undergraduate studies.
As per Mahindra University, Students must also face a panel interview to demonstrate their aptitude and gain admission. The deadline for receiving admissions applications is October 27, 2022.
Dr. Yajulu Medury, Vice-Chancellor of Mahindra University, commented on the introduction of this new-age LL.B. (Hons.) programme: "As one of the largest and most dynamic professions in India, the faculty of law requires practitioners to be agile and flexible in their learnings and outlook towards the judiciary.”
He continued, “In the last twenty years, there has been a significant increase in the demand for qualified legal professionals. According to recent market assessments, the percentage of law professionals hired by India's top law firms in 2021 ranged between 15 and 25% and is projected to increase in the following years.”
“Our objective for this innovative LL.B. (Hons) curriculum is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the complexities of the law and allow them to use this expertise in the service of society and for the greater good," he stated
Details On the Modern LLB (Honours) Programme at Mahindra University
The new curriculum aims to change legal education and cultivate a young generation of judicial officers with knowledge in essential subjects such as corporate law, commercial law, criminal law, international law, intellectual property law, civil & technological law, private law, and public law.
The course will include the Indian legal system, public international law, and much more. The integrative, multidisciplinary curriculum seeks to include future-ready and industry-specific specializations as honours options.
This added value will assist students in preparing for a rapidly changing judicial environment and enable them to develop into well-rounded professionals capable of meeting the domain's complicated demands.
According to the official announcement, the student exchange programme between the School of Law and top foreign universities affords students access to various international and domestic professional options.
