News Title: As per the latest updates, Jharkhand Government will reward the meritorious students of JAC Board Class 10th and JAC Board Class 12th students who have secured top ranks in the board exam with cash rewards up to INR 3 lakhs, a laptop and mobile phones.
This initiative will be taken under the scheme released by Jharkhand Government on March 27, 2023 (Monday) to help and encourage talented Jharkhand Board students to pursue their higher education. The scheme was announced by Jharkhand Chief Minister, Hemant Soren.
Informing about this scheme, Jharkhand Chief Minister said, “The government wants to lessen the initial financial burden on the families of meritorious students after the board examinations. So, we have rolled out the scheme”.
“Even if a student from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh or any part of the country tops from any Jharkhand school, he/she will be rewarded by the state government”, he further added. He shared that the students who have secured top three ranks in JAC 2023 Results will be eligible for rewards.
During the event held on March 27, 2023, students who secured first rank in class 10th and class 12th were given a cash prize of INR 3 lakh, 2nd rankers were given INR 2 lakh and those who secured the third rank got INR 1 lakh cash reward by the Chief Minister.
In addition to this, the state government rewarded the students of the Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) and toppers of Jharkhand Olympiad on the occasion.
Following the exam schedule, Jharkhand Academic Council started the JAC Board Class 10th Exam 2023 for all registered students on March 14, 2023 and the exam will conclude on April 3, 2023. While the JAC 12th Exam 2023 started on March 17 and will be held till April 5, 2023.
