New Delhi: IITs from across the country have proposed to quadruple the number of international students on the IIT campuses to five per cent with the help of targeted scholarship opportunities. The proposal was made at the fourth All IITs International Research Conclave.

The conclave was hosted by IIT Gandhinagar from September 30 to October 01, 2022. During the event, IITs proposed creating 1000 scholarships for international students annually with the aim of substantially internationalising the campuses of the leading 23 IITs in India.
