New Delhi: IIT Mandi signed a memorandum of understanding with the Himachal State Department of Technical Education for faculty development in Mandi on Tuesday July 5. The program will be held in the campus of IIT Mandi in the months of July and August.

Director, IIT-Mandi, Prof Laxmidhar Behera and Director, Technical Education, Vivek Chandel signed the MoU. Chandel said, “The IIT-Mandi agreed to facilitate training and upgrade faculty of government engineering and polytechnic colleges along with ITIs of the state to cope up with the challenges of latest advancements in technology and their application in the world of work.”

Admission to IIT Mandi has also begun for the academic year 2022-2023. Candidates can visit the official website at iitm.ac.in and check all the updates regarding the courses.
As per this agreement, in the first phase, the IIT will facilitate the first batch of 20 faculty members each from engineering and polytechnic colleges. Each batch will undergo for seven days a fully residential faculty development programme at the IIT-Mandi in July and August this year.
