IIT Mandi PhD and MS (Research) Admission 2022 Open, Apply till April 22

New Delhi: IIT Mandi has begun the application process for PhD and MS Research programs for the session 2022-24. UGC-NET or GATE qualified candidates can submit the online application form now at iitmandi.ac.in. 

IIT Mandi offers PhD and MS Research programs in various specialisations. Candidates seeking admission to the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering can apply till April 22 and the School of Engineering till April 20, 2022.

IIT Mandi courses include full-time or part-time MS/PhD in Computer Science and Engineering as offered by the School of Computing and Electrical Engineering (SCEE). Additionally, the School of Engineering offers MS Research and PhD in Materials, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, and Civil Engineering.

IIT Mandi PhD & MS Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

In order to enrol for admissions to MS Research and PhD courses, candidates will have to meet the requisite eligibility criteria which are mentioned below. 

Eligibility Criteria for MS Research:

• Candidates must hold a bachelor’s in engineering or technology and/or a master’s in a similar field with at least 60% aggregate marks are eligible to apply. 
• Candidates must possess a valid GATE or NET examination score.
• Candidates who are members of professional organisations, as stated by the institute, are also eligible to apply with a valid GATE score.

Eligibility Criteria for PhD:

• Candidates must hold an MTech/ ME/ M.Sc or an MBA postgraduate degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate score. 
• Candidates with a UG degree in BE or BTech from IIT with CGPA 8.0 or in the top 5% of the class or who have been working in the research field for two years are eligible to apply.
• Candidates must have qualified any of the entrance tests, GATE, UGC NET, CSIR, ICAR with valid scores.

Selection Process for MS Research:

• Candidates must have a valid GATE or UGC NET score to be selected for admission.
• Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited for personal interviews.
• Also, some candidates who may not meet the requisite eligibility criteria will be asked by the institute to sit for further written tests.

Selection Process for PhD:

• Candidates will be judged based on the rank secured in qualifying entrance examinations like GATE, UGC NET, CSIR, and ICAR.
• Shortlisted students will be called for personal interviews or further tests after which a final decision regarding admission will be made.

• Visit the official application portal of IIT Mandi at iitmandi.ac.in.
• Register with required details, such as Mobile number, Email Id etc.
• Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.
• Pay the application fee of INR 200 through SBI collect and submit the application form. 
• Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
