New Delhi: IIT Madras and IIT Madras Research Park, in partnership with the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, is organising a 3-day symposium on “Imagining India @ 2047 through Innovation” starting March 7.
The purpose of IIT Madras for organising the symposium is to get the pioneering minds of the country together from academia, government and entrepreneurs for evolving “Vision 2047” to commemorate 100 years of India’s Independence.

IIT Madras Vision 2047: Inauguration
Inauguration of Vision 2047 is scheduled to be done by Jitendra Singh, the Minister of State, Ministry of Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India, as per a release of IIT Madras.

Young IAS Officers, Young faculty members and young entrepreneurs of the IIT madras Incubation cell would team up together to individually showcase their in-depth expertise in terms of sector and spirit pertaining to the entrepreneurial ability for brainstorming innovative solutions.
IIT Madras Vision 2047: Overarching Themes and Key Areas
During the 3-day symposium, the overarching themes of Research and Development, Innovation and Digital Governance would facilitate for exploration of ten key areas which include
education, healthcare and assisted technologies, water, transport and infrastructure.
IIT Madras Vision 2047: Evolution and Cohorts
Each day of the symposium, there will be presentations by senior faculty members and entrepreneurs to aid the evolution of “Vision 2047” within the ambit of each key theme. The preparation of thematic presentation would be as a result of the interactions under the cohorts termed “nucleus”.
IIT Madras Vision 2047: Future Aims of the symposium
Symposium will help the delegates with an insight into the technologies evolving within the purview of each theme along with the chance to formulate ideas, concepts and strategies to execute “Vision 2047” amongst each other not only at the symposium but also in the years to come by the virtue of a detailed Vision Paper, as per the release.
