IIT Gandhinagar Early Career Fellowship (ECF) 2021: Registration Begins @iitgn.ac.in

IIT Gandhinagar has begun the application process for Early Career Fellowship (ECF) 2021 through its official website, iitgn.ac.in. 

Candidates who enrol for the IIT-GN's Early Career Fellowship (ECF) 2021 will receive an opportunity to work with the faculties of IIT Gandhinagar on research programs and transformative projects. Thus, the institute invites interested and eligible candidates to apply for the IIT-GN ECF 2021 by visiting the official IIT-GN website. Candidates must note that the last date to fill the application form is till June 7, 2021. 

IIT Gandhinagar Early Career Fellowship (ECF) 2021: Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates can go through the eligibility criteria to enrol in the ECF 2021, mentioned below. 

• Candidates must have successfully defended his/her PhD thesis from an Indian Institution/University on or after January 1, 2020. 
• Their research work must have been rated high with supporting scholarly publications. 
• Candidates who are likely to submit their thesis in the next 2-3 months or those who have successfully submitted are also eligible. 

IIT Gandhinagar ECF 2021: Selection Process

As part of the selection process for IITGN ECF 2021, candidates will have to develop a research proposal in a designated format by collaborating with the IITGN faculty. The plan will outline their research and professional aims which must be endorsed by the proposed faculty collaborator.

During the IITGN-ECF 2021, the candidates should submit a personal statement describing their expectations and aspirations themselves. The shortlisted candidate will be eligible to work with the IITGN faculty on research projects and transformative projects which could lead to a significant scholarly contribution through scholarly publications. 

IIT Gandhinagar Early Career Fellowship (ECF) 2021: Benefits & Scope

• Scholars will receive a fellowship of INR 1 Lakh per month and a professional development grant of up to INR 2 LPA. 
• This amount will also support their airfare to attend international conferences, training programmes, workshops, etc. 
• If interested in conducting seminars, workshops, or other scholarly activities, the fellow can submit their individual proposals to avail financial assistance. 
• Candidates must note that the fellowship will be awarded for a year and in case of best performance, the fellowship may extend for another year.
