New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar (IITGN), 288 students have enrolled in the BTech and BTech-MTech dual degree courses this year, as suggested by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) based on the outcomes of JEE Advanced 2022.

Students from 24 states Have Enrolled in the IIT Gandhi Nagar program. These students are from 24 different Indian states, with Maharashtra (58), Gujarat (57), and Rajasthan having the most significant proportion of pupils (43). Telangana (27), Madhya Pradesh (20), Uttar Pradesh (16), Andhra Pradesh (11), and Bihar (11) are the following states in order.
The newest batch includes two OCI students from the United States. The number of female students enrolled in the institute this year is 58, bringing the gender ratio of freshmen undergraduates to above 20%.
The institute held an opening session to launch its prestigious Foundation Programme. Prof. Rajat Moona, the director of the IITGN, welcomed the incoming class via video conference.
The innovative Foundation Programme of IITGN was introduced to the new students with an overview of its concept. Professor Sameer Patel, Professor Abinaya Sampath, Professor Rusa Mandal, Professor Mukesh Dhaka, and Professor Subramanian Sankaranarayanan organize the Foundation Programme 2022, which runs through November 23.
The five-week course is designed to be a comprehensive development plan with an exciting mix of activities because IITGN emphasizes developing students as successful engineers and well-rounded personas.
This year's Foundation Programme is scheduled with exciting sessions on gender and identity, the art of writing, language and communication, leadership, time management, social service, financial management, sports and cultural activities, and more. In addition to an orientation on various institutional activities, facilities, and campus life.
This program aims to remove students from the intensely competitive JEE zone, expose them to a wide range of creative, communication, psychological, and physical strength-building activities, instill in them the ethics and values of the IITGN, and foster in them a sense of collaboration and community work as well as an involvement in a variety of artistic mediums, among other things.
He stated, "IITGN, as your 'Karmabhoomi' for the next four years, will empower you to take leadership roles as you step out as experts and define how the technological world will act and work in the future. You will certainly thrive here, meet plenty of new people, and pick up a lot of knowledge that humanity needs to know.”
While greeting all students and their parents, Prof. Amit Prashant, Dean of Research & Development, IITGN, said, "As you join this institute today, you will have the opportunity to pick your path and at the same time be responsible for your decisions and deeds. Decide on your study style, manner of life, and destinations carefully.
Work with others outside of the classroom to gain new knowledge and abilities. Build your leadership, teamwork, and communication abilities; these will help you in the long run to realize your goals. Your batch, like our last batches, will undoubtedly exceed our expectations.
