IIT Delhi Launches New M. Tech & MS Programme; Last Date to Apply is May 2

New Delhi:  IIT Delhi is currently accepting applications for its two newly launched M.Tech and MS programmes for the academic session 2022-23. Aspiring candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal - iitd.ac.in, till May 2, 2022. 

IIT Delhi launched the new full time M.Tech programme in Biomolecular and Bioprocess Engineering and MS (Research) in Transportation Safety and Injury Prevention. The institute also offers most of its M. Tech/MS(R) programmes in the part- time mode for working professionals.

The minimum duration of M. Tech and MS(R) programmes of IIT Delhi is of 2 years which is divided into 4 semesters for full time and 3 years for part-time programmes which is divided into 6 semesters.

IIT Delhi M.Tech & MS Admission 2022: Eligibility Criteria

M.Tech/MS (Full Time)

• B.E./B. Tech./ M.Sc. or equivalent degree holders of a particular discipline are eligible for admission to M.Tech in Biomolecular and Bioprocess Engineering and MS (Research) in Transportation Safety and Injury Prevention.
• 60% marks or 6.00 CGPA on a 10-point scale.
• A valid GATE score
• Candidates in the final year of their programmes and who expect to complete all their qualifying degree requirements before the third week of July 2022, are eligible to apply
•  Candidates with AMIE or Grad. IETE qualifications may also be considered for admission 
• candidates with B.Tech. from IITs, graduating with a CGPA of 8.00 or above, are exempted from qualifying GATE/ CEED

M.Tech/MS (Part-time) and Sponsored (Full-time)

• Only employees of public sector undertakings or government departments or research and development organizations or private industries (approved by Faculty Boards) are eligible.
• Employees of only those organizations which are located within 50 km radius of IIT Delhi are eligible to be considered for admission to part-time M.Tech/ MS programmes.
• Minimum qualification for these candidates is the same as for full-time candidates except that the requirement of qualifying in a national exam.
• Sponsored (full-time) candidates seeking admission to a M.Tech/MS programme on the basis of study leave, must submit a “Sponsorship certificate”.
• Part-time candidates are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate”.

• Firstly the applicants are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam.
• Shortlisted candidates then have to appear for the group discussion or personal interview round.

IIT Delhi M.Tech & MS Admission 2022: How to Apply?

• Visit the official application portal of IIT Delhi, at iitd.ac.in.
• Register yourself after filling the required details, such as name, mobile number, email id, password, course, and date of birth
• Now, login with your registration credentials and fill all details in the Application form.
• Pay the application fee of INR 200 for General/OBC/EWS (INR 50 for ST/SC/PwD) and submit the Application form. 
• Applicants must also take a print out of the form for all future needs.
