New Delhi: IIM Visakhapatnam admission 2022 PI shortlist registration has started for Phase 1 at iimv.ac.in. IIMV has changed PGP admission policy for 2022-24 batch, which states that the qualifying cutoff percentile for General Category candidates has been reduced from 85 to 80. 

As per the IIM Visakhapatnam, candidates will be selected based on their CAT score, academic performance, work experience and diversity factor. The institute has notified that the personal interview (PI) round will be conducted in April-May 2022 and the Written Ability Test (WAT) will not be conducted for this batch as well. 

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, IIMV scrapped the written ability test (WAT). This year, the registration for IIM Visakhapatnam PGP admission 2022 and shortlist started today, on January 11, 2022, post the release of CAT 2021 result.

Candidates must note that the institute will accept the applications from January 11, to March 15, 2022 (11 am) for both phases. 

Those who have selected IIM Visakhapatnam as one of their preferences in the CAT 2021 form and if they fulfil the requisite CAT 2021 percentile, they can apply for the personal interview (PI) shortlisting till March 15, 2022.

IIM Visakhapatnam Admission 2022: Selection Process

The admission to PGP programme of IIM Visakhapatnam comprises three-phase selection process which are as follows, 

• Candidates to be shortlisted based on their CAT exam score
• Personal Interview (PI)
• Final selection of candidates

Step 3: Click on phase 1: PGP 2022-24 application form

IIM Visakhapatnam Admission 2022: CAT Cut Offs

According to the IIM Visakhapatnam Admission Criteria 2022-24, the first stage of shortlisting candidates will be done based on the candidate’s minimum section-wise aggregate CAT percentile. 

Candidates must note that these CAT 2021 cut offs are qualifying marks required to be eligible for WAT-PI round. However, the final selection for the WAT-PI round will be based on cut offs fixed after the declaration of CAT results.

IIM Visakhapatnam Admission 2022-24: Stage 2

In the second stage of IIM Visakhapatnam Admission 2022-24, the institute will take into account the candidates' percentage scores obtained in Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. These scores will be adjusted by dividing each such score by the 90th percentile score obtained in that board.

A pre-PI rank list based on parameters will be created by the institute. Candidates who get shortlisted based on these parameters will be further called for the personal interview round, where they should submit the following documents, 

• A statement of purpose
• Details of semester wise / year wise marks in Bachelor’s degree
• Copies of all academic transcripts & certificates
• Copies of work experience certificates (if applicable)
• Certificate of disability (if applicable)
• Certificate of scheduled caste / scheduled tribe / other backward class – non-creamy layer certificate (if applicable)

The PI score carries 25 points. Once standardisation across interview panels and sessions is done, it will be added to the following scores to arrive at the final aggregate score.
