New Delhi: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Tiruchirappalli has launched a six-month-long Certificate Program in Business Management for Defense Officers for the academic session 2022-23. The program was inaugurated on the campus ground on August 29, 2022.
As per IIM Trichy , the certificate program is specially designed for those interested defense officers who wish to upgrade their learning of business management skills and learn from top industry experts and experienced faculty members.
The IIM Trichy Certificate Course 2022 will be offered to 50 participants for a duration of six months. Out of the total candidates, six officers from the Indian Army and twenty-two from the Indian Navy and Indian Air force, including nine women officers will join the course.
Talking about the highlights of the certificate course, Lt Gen A Arun stated that this course would introduce the officers to significant concepts of business management through which they will learn how to implement the skills in the real world.
He urged participants to bring critical thinking, good communication, ample generosity, adaptability, empathy, grace, and other qualities with them during the six-month certificate program.
Addressing the event, Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Director of IIM Trichy stated that it is essential to keep a fresh mind while learning new things. The course will help the officers in improving in the domains they are already abreast.
To fully enjoy the certificate program, he asked the officer to put more effort than expected by the professors and take extra time to understand and grasp the concepts fully. This will further help them in improving their skills.
