IIM Shillong welcomes its new Batch in its online Commencement Ceremony


The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong recently greeted the 13th batch so far for its PGP Batch. Along with this, the institute also welcomed the 9th batch for its doctoral program as well as the MBA Executive course.

The PGP batch at IIM Shillong has a strength of 247 students, as well as 20 in MBA and 6 in the doctoral program.

IIM Shillong conducted the commencement of its new batches in online mode. The institute invited Praveen Kumar, the Co-CEO of Barclays Global Services Centre, India to be the chief guest during the event. 

Mr. Praveen Kumar imparted his wealth of knowledge on to the students by teaching them the importance of keeping up with the progress of the world in terms of technology. He also shed light on the new business models that have been coming up with newer ways to help professionals in the making.

This was followed by the addressal of the new batch by the Director of IIM Shillong, DP Goyal. He advised all students to make the most of their time as students to absorb all the knowledge that they can so that they can be industry ready professionals within two years. He also told the students that they have several opportunities to look forward to. 

He pointed out the importance of being strong individually as well as a team player.
