IIM Kashipur Held 9th Convocation for MBA Batch 2022; 374 Students Awarded Degrees


New Delhi: IIM Kashipur organised its 9th convocation ceremony after a gap of two years on Saturday, May 14, 2022. The convocation was attended by eminent personnel Sanjeev Sanyal, a member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister of India. 

This year, 374 students of IIM Kashipur have graduated with degrees in Postgraduate Programme in Management, two-year Postgraduate Programme in Business Analytics, Postgraduate Programme in Management for Executives and Doctoral Programme in Management courses. The toppers of each batch were awarded medals at the convocation ceremony. 

The institute has officially announced the batch toppers of IIM Kashipur MBA 2022 through its Twitter handle, who received gold medals at the convocation. The tweet reads as follows:

During his speech, Sanyal motivated the students to be ready to face the challenges of uncertain times and keep on working towards their goals. 

Sandeep Singh, Chairman of the IIM’s Board of Governors, explained that the institute has been enhancing gender diversity on the campus. 

We have been putting special efforts over the years to enhance gender diversity on a long-term basis. As an outcome, the number of girl students increased from 29 to 51 in 2021 and 61 in 2022, achieving the highest strength of girl students in the MBA programme across batches so far”, as stated by the Chairman. 

Last month, the institute launched the first batch of Executive MBA in Analytics Programme and so far, 95 students have joined the programme.

One of the new generation IIMs, IIM Kashipur is mentored by the renowned institute IIM Lucknow. IIM Kashipur was ranked 33rd in NIRF Management Ranking 2021. MBA and MBA (Analytics) are two of its full-time flagship programmes with a duration of 2 years. 

IIM Kashipur is also known for its two year MBA for Working Executives (EMBA) and PhD programmes. It also offers short-term Management Development Programmes (MDPs) and Postgraduate Certificate Programme in AI and Machine Learning. 

Admission to the IIM Kashipur MBA programme is conducted via CAP (Common Admission Process). Candidates have to produce a valid CAT / GMAT score for seeking admission to the institute. 

Along with offering the programmes mentioned above, IIM Kashipur has partnered with more than 15 international Business Schools for Students and Faculty Exchange and conducting good quality research activities.
