IIM Jammu Signs MoU with University of Ladakh to Open Transit Off-Campus; Read Details Here


New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu and the University of Ladakh signed an MoU for academic collaboration, teacher exchange, and collaborative research on December 18, 2022. Following this, IIM-Jammu will soon open a transit off-campus at the university.

As per IIM Jammu, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Vice Chancellor of Ladakh University S K Mehta and Director of IIM Jammu B S Sahay. Informing about the collaboration, an official spokeswoman announced that the university will soon have a transit stop operated by the IIM-Jammu.

Under this collaboration, the University of Ladakh has consented to provide space on its campus for the launch of the Transit Off-Campus in Leh in the Union Territory of Ladakh, which makes this MoU a historic event for IIM Jammu, according to Director, B S Sahay.

He added that the two universities have committed to collaborate in a number of areas, including research, boot camps, executive education, entrepreneurial promotion, short-term education programmes, skill development, joint conferences, and a variety of other areas.

Talking about the initiative, he further informed that the collaboration between the two institutes would provide results that are in the best interests of all parties involved and promote sustainable growth and development in the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh regions.

Vice Chancellor of Ladakh University S K Mehta added that the partnership with IIM-Jammu will benefit the university in gaining proficiency in a number of crucial areas, including the creation of educational and training programmes, long-term planning, the promotion of entrepreneurship, and institutional growth.

Earlier, IIM Jammu joined hands with AIIMS Jammu and the Research Foundation of Hospital and Healthcare Administration (RFHHA) is jointly organising the "Healthcare Executive Management Development Program" from November 20 to November 27, 2022.

During the program, participants were introduced to various topics, such as human resources, hospital strategic planning, hospital services and operations, healthcare communication, healthcare technology, safety, quality, and accreditation, healthcare ethics and law, materials and supply chain management, etc.
