IIM Indore Signs Lol with AstraZeneca for Future Ready Healthcare Services; Details Here


IIM Indore has signed a Letter of Intent with AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited on October 12, 2021, which will help for advancement in research & technology, and to adapt those things for the benefits of healthcare, medicine industries and other related sectors. 

IIM Indore has been constantly taking initiatives and measures for the betterment of society and the institute has now stepped up again to contribute to the healthcare sector; which has played the most important role throughout the Covid situation.

Telling about the collaboration, Prof. Himanshu Rai, IIM Indore said that the main purpose of the LoI is to contribute to the establishment of better and future-ready healthcare delivery services through a mutual partnership of the academic industry.

"We at IIM Indore are always keen to contribute to improving the quality of life for people around us, and a big component of that is health, We are totally pledged to make a healthier India and hence, we are very pleased to collaborate with AstraZeneca, to give our support to the healthcare sector,”  he added.

He further said that the institute would focus on joint use of equipment and facilities for research in modern technology and management frontiers like BDA, AI, GIS, Video Analytics, Knowledge & Information Management Systems and Lean and Agile Techniques. 

It was also highlighted the institute would incorporate managerial aspects like Negotiation, Inclusive Leadership Development Service Improvement, Social Media Management, Authentic and, etc.

Showing Pleasure about the collaboration, Mr Gagandeep Singh from AstraZeneca said that " IIM Indore is among the top B-Schools in India with a Triple Crown accreditation and ‘We are really happy to sign a Letter of Intent with this institute to join hands for research and projects with their talented faculty. Apart from publishing the research studies on mutually agreed things, this collaboration will also work to review the existing diagnostic, treatment regime and identification in the public health setups. We look forward to the recommendations from the IIM Indore team to give more strength to the system," Mr Singh said.

IIM Indore and AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd would also work on research and publications, conduct skill development activities and awareness programmes in the areas of public health, Public Health policies and public/private health organizations which can help to improve the access to health and innovation.

The collaboration includes a number of projects with the major objective with the most important one being; creating awareness for public health and related policies. This Lol will continue for the upcoming three years for which a team mentored by highly Skilled Faculty members of IIM, Indore; Prof. Sayantan Banerjee, Prof. Himanshu Rai and Prof. Sneha Thapliyal working on these projects.
