IGNOU Launches MJMC Courses in Hindi and Tamil in ODL Mode

New Delhi: IGNOU has launched its new flagship courses in Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication today, July 11, 2022. Candidates can submit the online application form through the official portal, ignou.ac.in.

As stated by the Vice-Chancellor of IGNOU the programme will be completely offered in hybrid form. The open university is already offering the MJMC course in English in both online and open and remote learning modalities.

An official statement said, “In order to integrate recommendations of National Education Policy 2020 into its academic endeavour and facilitate the teaching-learning process in various Indian languages, School of Journalism and New Media Studies (SOJNMS), IGNOU has launched its flagship programme - MA in Journalism and Mass Communication in two Indian languages - Hindi and Tamil”.

In his Presidential speech, Professor Nageshwar Rao, VC IGNOU, emphasised the need of teaching and study in one's native language for better and more effective learning results. He thanked the eminent visitors for their time and words of wisdom, which he found encouraging. He praised the school for finishing the translation flawlessly in such a short period of time.

IGNOU MJMC Course in Hindi and Tamil: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline to be eligible for the course of IGNOU.
They should have access to computers, the Internet and basic knowledge of word processing (for creating word documents and communicating through the Internet for sending and receiving mails, browsing sites etc.)

IGNOU MJMC Course in Hindi and Tamil: Steps to Apply

Step 1: Visit the official website of IGNOU, at ignou.ac.in
Step 2: Register yourself after filling in the required details such as Name, Email Id, Contact Number etc.
Step 3: Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.
Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit the Application form.
Step 5: Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.
