ICMR, NIAID Joined Hands with Gates Foundation to Offer Clinical Research Fellowship 2022; Last Date to Apply is July 1

New Delhi: Department of Health Research of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and NIAID of National Institutes of Health (NIH) is inviting applications for Clinical Research Fellowship 2022. The last date to apply for the fellowship program is July 01, 2022. 

The Clinical Research Fellowship 2022 will be offered under a collaboration between Indian Council of Medical Research and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of National Institutes of Health (NIH) with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. 

As per ICMR, the fellowship application is open for all mid-career scientists in India and USA who have completed their MD or MS degrees. This opportunity will be offered to applicants who meet the required eligibility criteria and are not more than 60 years of age. 

Under this collaboration, the participants from India and the United States of America (USA) will be offered an opportunity to conduct research and gain hands-on experience in Indian and US labs.

ICMR Clinical Research Fellowship 2022: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for ICMR/NIAID/BMGF Clinical Research Fellowship Exchange Program 2022, interested applicants are required to meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:

• Applicant must be an Indian citizen.
• Must have a Postgraduate (post-MBBS) medical training program, such as an M.D. or M.S., (with or without a Ph.D). 
• Be eligible to obtain a J-1 Short-Term Scholars visa status.
• Must be available to relocate and conduct research at an NIH-approved facility.
• Must meet the eligibility criteria mentioned on the official website of the National Institutes of Health (NIH)/ ICMR /BMGR.

Step 3: Read the instructions with care and click on the "Apply Now" link to start your application.

Step 4: Fill out the application form and upload a copy of mentioned documents with care.

Step 5: Review your details to prevent any error in the application form and submit the registration form to complete your Clinical Research Fellowship Exchange Program 2022 registration process.

As per the official website, “Submitted documents must have all social security numbers, student identification numbers, and/or dates of birth removed prior to uploading into the application system. All documents must be in English or include an official English translation”.
