New Delhi: HR College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai has taken the initiative to emphasize on multilingual education due to high professional alternatives it offers. The course also includes certification after successfully completing 30 hours of virtual learning.
HR College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai functioning beneath HSNC Cluster University has recently introduced Multilingual courses for college students with respect to the National Education Policy 2020.
The International Programmes committee of HR College, Mumbai has taken this initiative due to the reforms of the recent National Education Policy. NEP 2020 emphasises the requirement of multilingual learning for students as it offers better professional opportunities, if they follow a multilingual curriculum.
HR college is conducting the multilingual learning courses in a Virtual mode. This facility has been started under the great mentorship of Chandni Bhattacharjee, Director, IPC. The college is currently offering a certification course in Spanish language on completion of 30 hours of learning.
It will help college students to learn the languages that may give them an upper edge over their competitors in terms of getting job opportunities and also leave an indelible impression throughout communication.

Commenting on this initiative, Niranjan Hiranandani, Provost, HSNC University, said, “Multilingual learning will enhance various networking, cognitive, interpersonal and social-linguistic skills which will surely foster the learner’s global relationships.
The ability to speak more languages along with associated skills will also accentuate retention and attention. Besides, learning different languages will help the modern learners hone their reasoning abilities, critical thinking and also make them proficient communicators by grasping concepts and subjects with higher effectiveness.”
Sharing further details about the courses, Dr. Pooja Ramchandani, Principal of H. R. College said, “HR College has taken this initiative to train students in various foreign languages such as Japanese, German, South Korean and other foreign languages along with the regional languages.
