New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced that all the universities in the state should provide education from kindergarten level to post graduation level.

Announcing this decision and batting for quality education, he also directed that the fees for the poor children studying in the state universities will be paid by the state government.
A two-day conference on education policy, self-employment and management was organised by the Haryana State Higher Education Council, where the CM addressed the vice-chancellors of the Universities.
He said that a new scheme would be introduced soon under which the Haryana government will pay the fee for all those students hailing to families who have verified annual income less than INR 1.80 lakh. .
Further, the Chief Minister said that under the new education policy, the MDU Rohtak, Kurukshetra University and Mahila Vishwavidyalaya Khanpur, have already started providing education from KG-level to PG under one roof.
Even the rest of the Universities will also work at a fast pace to provide better education in the same way so that every youth in the state gets access to higher education easily under one roof, he added.
The employment-oriented courses should be formulated in all the state universities and computer education should be made mandatory so that in the present era of technology, every youth becomes proficient in computers.
The youth should be imparted better employment-oriented education as a result of which they get numerous job opportunities after completing their education, the Chief Minister said.
In order to impart quality education to the youth, the technical education and higher education departments will be merged, which will help in reducing the unnecessary burden on the government. Even the youth will be able to get both technical and higher level education, the CM said.
The CM also mentioned that an emphasis should be laid on making the universities of the state financially robust and self-sufficient so that they do not depend on government grants.
He concluded by saying that the government hires agencies from outside for the work of consultants, surveys. However, such work will be given to universities in the future to increase their income.
