New Delhi: Haryana Chief Minister Lal Khattar announced several projects during the Haryana Budget 2022-23 on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, including more medical and nursing colleges in selected districts.
The CM also discussed other ventures such as an interdisciplinary university in Nuh, an institute of emerging technologies in Manesar, a feeder canal to supply required water to Gurugram and Nuh, repairs and maintenance of rural roads, etc.
Out of the INR 1.77 lakh crore state budget, INR 2,0250.57 crore have been allotted to the Education sector. The budget session In the Haryana Assembly started on March 2, 2022 and will continue till March 22, 2022.
Haryana Budget 2022-23 on Medical Colleges
While presenting the state budget, Khattar has stated that the Government will open medical colleges in the four districts of Haryana which do not have any medical colleges till date.
The districts are Palwal, Charkhi Dadri, Panchkulla and Fatehabad. Out of the entire budget, INR 8925.2 crore has been allotted to the medical sector.
The CM also proposed a joint research collaboration between allopathy and AYUSH forms of treatment.

“I hope to establish the Haryana Health Sciences Synthesis and Research Centre in one of the medical colleges in the State in 2022-23. The Government will provide funding for the establishment of the Centre”, as stated by CM Khattar.
Last month, the CM made the announcement of setting up hospitals with a capacity of 200 beds in each district of Haryana. The hospital is to be built on 8 acres of IMT Manesar along with a nursing college. At present, the state has two hospitals with 500 beds- PGI Rohtak and Nalhad and a hospital with approximately 600 beds in Badsa.

Haryana Budget 2022-23 on Education
As per the budget, a subject wise Olympiads for Class 8-12 is to begin soon. Those who’ll manage to secure the highest rank shall have the opportunity to go to NASA and ISRO. They will also be provided with scholarships as an award.
The Government will also give free tablets to the students of Class 10-12 in the Government schools.
Haryana Budget 2022-23 on Women’s Education
To empower the female members of the society more, the state is to arrange a safe and secured transport facility for the girl students. It will be called ‘SATHI’ (Safe and Accessible Transport: Haryana Initiative). The facilities will be provided to the girl students of the Government institutions that include senior secondary schools, colleges, ITIs, polytechnics, medical, paramedical and nursing institutes.
The budget will also include hostels for working women in Gurugram and Faridabad along with loans upto INR 3 lakhs for entrepreneurs.
The CM also has stated that approximately 1000 women will also be recruited in Haryana Police.
