Guru Jambheshwar University Reopens on Nov 16 Implementing All Necessary COVID-19 Health Norms


Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) was reopened on November 16, 2020 after being closed for the past 7 months, and all the COVID 19 health norms were implemented.

Universities and schools across the whole country were shut down in recent times because of the nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

The Government has also permitted the hostels of GJUST to reopen under the condition provided that only one student per room will be allowed. 

The Vice-Chancellor of the GJUST, Professor Tankeshwar Kumar stated that all the students who are going to opt for hostels will have to undergo an RT-Pcr test and will be permitted only if the result comes out to be negative.

Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar was established in 1995 and is affiliated to UGC. The University offers a vast range of academic courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. 

The GJUST was ranked at 94th position by NIRF in 2020. The University offers courses in the area of management, technology, pharmacy, engineering, and science.
