The State Government of Gujarat will be hosting a 2-day International Conference of Academic Institutions from January 5-6, 2022. Panellists will have a discourse on holistic education and internationalization of education and sessions will be held on research and innovation, skill development, employment and so on.
The conference will be a curtain-raiser to the Vibrant Gujarat Education Summit – 2022, with an overall focus on the successful implementation of the National Education Policy 2020. The event will be jointly organised by the Gujarat State Education Department, Union Ministry of Education and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
International Education Conference 2022, Gujarat: Highlights
According to Gujarat Education Minister Jitu Vaghani, the conference aims to discuss the concepts of “holistic education” and “internalisation of education”. Here are a few highlights of what the conference will bring to the foreground:
The primary aim of the conference is to “effectively clarify the way to strengthen the relationship of industries, academia and students by explaining the roadmap for National Education Policy 2020.”

The conference will include approximately 120-panel speakers. Among them, 40 speakers will be from abroad, sharing their own journeys across 21 sessions.
Among the countries abroad, Australia, Norway, UK, France and Canada will participate in the conference as partner countries. Among the domestic organisations, NITI Aayog, Skill India, National Skill Development Corporation, University Grants Commission, All India Council for Technical Education, National Council of Educational Research and Training and National Board of Accreditation will participate in the conference.
Along with focusing on the NEP 2020, the conference will also discuss the necessity of skill development and entrepreneurship against the backdrop of COVID-19 and how the pandemic affects the schooling and education system, the changes required and the ways to overcome the problem.

The conference will also include a session on the Indian Knowledge System along with an extraordinary session on Sanskrit.
The conference will work towards bridging the gap between the national and international educational institutions including discussions on the interdisciplinary approaches along with the research methodology, necessary tools for the successful implementation of NEP 2020. This is to strengthen India’s position on the global rank in terms of education, research and innovation.
