Ph.D. Program 'Chettinad Research Fellowship:
PhD Program in Medical & Allied Health Sciences and related fields are available at CARE: UGC, CSIR, NET, SLET and other qualified candidates with their own funds to support shall join the course at any time and will be allotted to the two sessions, February and August

Eligibility Criteria for 'Chettinad Research Fellowship 2015:
- Medical Higher Specialities: DM. M.Ch and equivalent
- Post Graduate degree in Medicine / Surgery/Nonclinical specialities: MD., MS and equivalent
- Diplomate of National Board: Diplomate of National Board in different branches/ specialities of the National Board of Examinations after finishing the prescribed period for eligibility to be considered equivalent to MD/MS as per the norms of this University
- Post Graduate Medical Diploma in all Branches/Specialities: D.CH. D.O., D.Ortho. D.L.O., D.G.O., etc with 5 years of teaching experience
- M.Sc (Medical): 3 year M.Sc in Medical Anatomy, Medical Physiology, Medical Pharmacology, Medical Biochemistry and Medical Microbiology and related subjects
- M.Sc (Faculty of Science): 2 year M.Sc in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and related subjects
- Bio-Medical Sciences: M.Sc/M.Tech 2 years or 5 years integrated (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Nutrition & Dietetics., Biostatistics, Medical Sociology, Biomedical Engineering., etc) and related biomedical, medical subjects
- Post-graduation in Dental, Nursing & Paramedical courses: MDS., M.Pharm, M.Sc Nursing. Etc
Fellowship
A Fellowship of Rs.8000/- p.m., with hostel accommodation and food, instituted by CARE are announced periodically and eligible candidates shall apply twice in a year and admission will be made based on entrance test and personal interview
The period of fellowship is for two years and within this period, the candidate is encouraged to write UGC, CSIR related examinations and get their own fellowships
