New Delhi: Telangana Government has finalised the fee structure of 159 engineering colleges in the state as per the Admission and Fee Regulation Committee (AFRC) recommendations. With this, engineering education will cost more for students in Telangana.

As per the order issued by Telangana Government, the fee structure has been finalised for a total of 159 colleges offering engineering courses such as BE or BTech. In addition to this, an order also has been issued to increase the fees of MBA, MCA and MTech courses in the state.
Informing about the order, the officials said, the government has fixed the minimum annual fee for MBA and MCA courses at INR 27000/- for institutes and colleges in Telangana, while the fixed minimum annual fee for MTech courses is INR 57000/-.
The highest fee for the three-year session starting from the academic year 2022-23 will cost INR 1.60 lakh at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology or MGIT, Gandipet, whereas the minimum fee per annum is fixed at INR 45,000/- for pursuing the course from the institute.
For the last three-year block period which started from 2021-22, the highest fee for the courses was fixed at INR1.34 lakh per annum and the minimum was INR 35,000 per annum. The fee has been increased in accordance with the Admission and Fee Regulation Committee (AFRC).
Following this order issued, the highest fee for three year block period for Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, also known as CBIT, Gandipet was INR 1.34 lakh per annum in the 2021-22 session, which has now been increased to INR 1.40 lakh per annum for this session.
The CVR College of Engineering is allowed to charge INR 1.5 lakh for courses, while CBIT, Vardhaman College of Engineering and Vasavi College of Engineering will be allowed to charge INR 1.40 lakh per annum.
Referring to the order, the GO issued informed that the annual fee has been increased for more than 40 private engineering colleges by INR 1 lakh or above. The minimum fee fixation for nine colleges in Telangana is INR 45,000 per annum.
