DU Centenary Chance Exam 2022 for College Dropouts to Start From Oct 16; Check Details Here

New Delhi: University of Delhi (DU) will conduct the first "centenary chance examination" from Sunday, October 16, 2022 to November 09 2022 for more than 1,850 students. The exam will be held for those drop-out students who missed their degrees to complete their studies.

As per Delhi University, the centenary chance exam aims to offer students who could not complete their education due to any reason a second chance to appear for an exam to get their degrees. The university has received over 8,560 registrations from students for the examination.

Informing about the exam, Delhi University officials said, a second chance has been given to students in view of DU's year-long centenary celebrations that started on May 01, 2022. The exam will be held at two exam centers; at the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Sciences.

Students have the option to appear for a maximum of four papers in the annual mode and up to eight exams for semester-wise tests in the centenary chance exam. Candidates must note that the exam will be held for theory and practical examination and not for internal assessment.

Dean of Examination D S Rawat said, "The exams would be conducted in two shifts on Sunday. More than 1,850 students will appear in the exams in both shifts. As many as 950 students will write the exam in the Faculty of Arts and 920 in the Faculty of Social Sciences".

The exam will be held for 18 papers in each shift for registered students. Those who could not apply for this round of examination will be given another opportunity to appear in the next round, which will be held in March 2023.

Meanwhile, Delhi University has recorded over 2.17 registrations for DU UG Admissions 2022-23. The registration has dipped by nearly 70,000 as compared to last year. Registered candidates will be allotted seats based on CUET UG 2022 scores instead of class 12th marks.
