New Delhi: Delhi University is all set to start its new academic session for its first-year undergraduate students around October 20, 2022.

According to the latest reports, DU intends to launch its admissions webpage by this week on September 9, 2022. The CUET-UG results are anticipated between September 10 and September 15. Just a few days prior to that, the university seeks to launch their admission portal.
The university official stated that the varsity requires time to complete the admission process this time as there are several subject combinations and the varsity is looking forward to commence the new session by October 20.
This is the first time the university has decided to accept the scores of an entrance exam to grant admissions, where UG cutoffs used to rise dramatically every year.
As per the University Grants Commission's (UGC) announcement in March, the central universities were mandated to use CUET scores to admit the students.
The Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal will be a crucial component of the admissions process at DU-affiliated Colleges, this academic year. There will be three stages to the process.
Once the admission portal is launched, the students must register through the CSAS-2022 application form and submit a one-time (non-refundable) payment at this point in the application process.
Once the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results are released, the second phase will begin. If a candidate is qualified for the programme they want, they can choose the programme and college that suit them best.
The university has also recommended the candidates to consider a variety of programme and college combinations while keeping their preferences in mind. The preferences cannot be altered once after it is submitted.
The third stage involves the allocation of seats, which will happen in several rounds. The candidate would need to check the seat and college assigned on the common admission portal once the merit list is made public.
