DU Admission 2022: CSAS Round 1 Seat Allotment Concluded with 72,865 seats claimed


New Delhi: Delhi University has concluded the CSAS Round 1 Seat Allotment on October 22, 2022. As per the University data, a total of 72,865 candidates accepted their seat allotments. 

Out of 80,164 seats allocated under the first round, a total of 72,865 candidates have accepted the course and college allotted to them by Saturday evening, said DU Registrar Vikas Gupta.

Admission in Delhi University is conducted as per the Common University Entrance Test, CUET Scores for 79 undergraduate programs across 67 DU colleges. 

The college will verify, approve online applications and send confirmations to the candidates by October 23, 2023. 

According to a recent press release from Registrar of Delhi University, the window for "upgrade/re-ordering the higher preferences for 2nd round of CSAS shall be available from 5 pm, Tuesday, 25 October till 4.59 pm Thursday, 27 October 2022 in respect of only those candidates who have been granted admission and paid the fees."

The number of seats across DU colleges is 70,000, but the varsity has allocated extra seats in unreserved (OBC-NCL and EWS) and reserved (SC, ST and PWBD) categories in the first list, taking the number to 80,164. 

DU recently announced the rejection of reserved category candidates in seat allocation for CSAS round-1 who did not submit their category certificates according to the university's prescribed format. These candidates will be considered for the unreserved seats in CSAS round-2.
