New Delhi: Delhi University is going to begin a 4 years UG programme for the academic year 2022-2023. The four-year undergraduate curriculum is prescribed by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

NEP Implementation Committee (NIC) of Delhi University has recommended that the pre-existing undergraduate programmes – Honours Degree– will continue with “alterations to nomenclature and structure”.
A single and multidisciplinary degree is therefore introduced for an Honours degree. Both the formats of degrees will have multiple exit options, giving students the option to leave after the first, second, third or fourth year.
DU 4 Year UG Programme: Syllabus
The university is still in process of constructing the first-semester syllabus. The students do not know yet what courses they will be taking in their four years of study. Consequently, at the time of admission, students will only know the details of the first semester. The university will continue formulating the syllabus for the remaining semesters.
Here are the single and multi-disciplinary program stages of exits and credit points required to secure for the degree mentioned below:

The dissertation or academic project shall have a huge credit score for the two semesters. The dissertation can be on a topic related either to a student’s Major or Minor.
