DMER Haryana Releases Admission Process for ANM, GNM & MPHW Courses for Session 2022-23; Check Details Here


New Delhi: Haryana Government, Department of Medical Education and Research (DMER) has released the procedure for admission to ANM, GNM, and MPHW courses in Government and Private colleges in the state for the academic session 2022-23. 

As per the official notice, admission to ANM, GNM, and MPHW courses in medical colleges in Haryana will be made through an online centralized counselling process. Preference in the merit list will be given to those candidates who have science subjects in the qualifying examination. 

Under the admission process, seats offered in the Government Nursing Schools will be assigned as state quota seats. Candidates must note that 50% of seats will be assigned as a state quota and 50% will be offered as a management quota for admission to Private Nursing schools. 

"The admission shall be made in only those nursing institutes which have obtained OC/LOP from the state government and are affiliated with Haryana Nurses and Nurse Midwives Council and are permitted for admission by DMER for session 2022-23" the notice reads.

DMER Haryana ANM, GNM & MPHW Admission 2022: Eligibility, Selection Process

To apply for admission to ANM, GNM & MPHW courses in various government and private colleges in Haryana state, interested candidates are required to meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria: 

  • Class 12th qualifications in any stream (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, etc). 
  • The candidate should have obtained minimum passing marks/percentage as specified
  • by the respective board. 
  • For GNM, candidates need to have class 12th qualification with English and a minimum of 40% marks. 
  • Required qualifications should be from any recognized examination board. 

Applicants must note that only female candidates will be considered for the ANM course and only male candidates will be eligible to apply for MPHW(M) course. Candidates are advised to go through the eligibility criteria before applying for admissions. 

Once the choice of course/institute is made by the candidates on the official admission portal, any changes in the same will not be considered by the admission authority. Therefore applicants are directed to read the admission instructions with care before submitting the applications. 

The official notice informs that "the allotment of the school/course shall be made strictly as per merit prepared/drawn on the basis of qualifying examination and the choice/preference of the school filled up by the candidate on the online portal". 

In case of a tie between candidates with equal marks or merit in the merit list, preference will be given to candidates with higher marks in Biology. If the tie still remains, the preference will be given to candidates with higher marks in physics, chemistry, and biology.
