DME Haryana Directs Medical Colleges to Sign Up on the AISHE Portal

New Delhi: The Director of Higher Education (DHE) in Haryana has directed all the medical colleges in the state to register and sign up on the portal of All India Survey of Higher Education (AISHE).

DME Haryana Directs Medical Colleges to Sign Up on the AISHE Portal

According to the notification, the Ministry of Education's office launched the AISHE portal on September 1, 2022, for the survey year 2022–2023.

All the universities, colleges, and educational institutions are required to comply with the AISHE code because it is necessary for NAAC accreditation, scholarships, and the AISHE survey.

The head/principal of colleges or other institutions that have not yet registered must do it immediately by visiting the official website  @aishe.gov.in.

In order to build a comprehensive database of the educational institutions offering higher education in the nation, the Department of Higher Education introduced the All-India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) in 2011 as part of the Central Sector Scheme of Higher Education Statistics and Public Information Systems (HESPIS).

All the tertiary-level educational institutions, including medical education, are covered by AISHE.

The Central Ministries and State Governments frequently use the list of institutions on the AISHE to verify the legitimacy of student applicants in different schemes.

This is frequently carried out in the National Scholarships Portal, where students can apply for and process for the scholarships from various Ministries online. Scholarships are then sent to students via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode following proper online verification, de-duplication, etc.

The AISHE must include all institutions in order to provide privileges to qualified and deserving students.
