Department of Science and Technology is All Set to Launch 15 More Science Technology and Innovation Hubs

New Delhi: Union Ministers Arjun Munda and Jitendra Singh spoke at the National Conclave on Science and Technology for Empowerment of Tribal Community at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati in honour of the "Janjatiya Gaurav Divas," which will be marked on November 15.

According to Munda, the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has paid particular attention to the integrated development of tribal people while maintaining their cultural identity. Tribes must be taken into account as the nation develops in the run-up to 2047, when India will celebrate 100 years of independence. It is commendable that the Department of Science and Technology has moved in this direction by putting innovative ideas for tribal development into action.

As a part of "Azadi ki Amrit Mahotsav," the DST established a specific programme for "Accelerated Development of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups." According to him, over 100 new projects in a variety of technological fields have received funding over the previous three years. These programmes are anticipated to serve over 50,000 ST people around the nation.
