Delhi University to Conduct ECA, Sports Quota Trial After October 10


New Delhi: Delhi University has begun admission for the year 2022, & has introduced the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal, which will be used to process applications to all programs. Students can apply for Admissions via their official websites at du.ac.in.

Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh informed during the CSAS site launch that Delhi University will hold trials for candidates seeking admission under the extracurricular activities (ECA) and sports quotas after October 10. 

For DU UG Admissions under the ECA and Sports Supernumerary Quotas, the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) score 2022 will be weighted 25% and certificates and trials would be weighted 75%.

The university will resume its previous practice of giving students offline performance-based assessments after two years. Due to COVID-19, the university has been accepting students into the ECA category for the past two years based on their performance certificates.

For admission under ECA and Sports Supernumerary Quotas, Combined ECA Merit (CEM) and Combined Sports Merit (CSM) will be the basis for seat allocation. 

For admission under ECA and Sports Supernumerary Quotas, the maximum marks for an ECA score shall be 75, comprising performance in physical trials and/or uploaded certificates, as applicable. For an ECA score of 75 marks, for all seats, the Combined ECA Merit (CEM)

Candidates can apply for a maximum of three ECA categories under the ECA Supernumerary Quota, and for each ECA category, they must upload a maximum of the Best Five self-attested certificates of the preceding five years, issued between the dates of April 01, 2017 and June 30, 2022 only.

Candidates can upload self-attested copies of a maximum of three Merit/Participation Sports Certificates of the preceding five years issued from April 01, 2017 to June 30, 2022 only if they wish to apply for admission under the sports supernumerary quota.
