Delhi University Releases First Semester Syllabus Under Four Year UG Curriculum Framework


New Delhi: Delhi University has released the first-semester syllabus for students who have applied for admission to the UG courses under the four-year undergraduate curriculum framework (UGCF). The new academic session for students will start on November 03, 2022. 

As per Delhi University, the syllabus has only been finalised for one semester for now. The university officials will continue developing the syllabus for the remaining semesters and publish the same on the official website at du.ac.in for all interested candidates to check. 

The Delhi University UGCF syllabus includes 24 value-added courses and 41 skill enhancement courses, which cover various domains such as ‘Swachh Bharat’, ‘Ayurveda and Nutrition’ and ‘Ethics and Values in Ancient Indian Traditions.

Additionally, 'Vedic Mathematics’ and ‘The Art of Being Happy’, ‘Advanced Spreadsheet Tools’, ‘Introduction to Blockchain’, ‘Statistical Software Package’, ‘Communication in Professional Life’ and ‘Finance for Everyone will also be introduced to students in the new session.

In addition to the syllabus for DU UG Courses 2022, the university has also published the finalised syllabus for its elective courses for the academic session 2022-23. Interested candidates can check the detailed syllabus by visiting the official website at du.ac.in.

Earlier, the Delhi University's academic council approved the first-semester syllabi of the four-year undergraduate programmes (FYUP) introduced under UGCF in August 2022. The syllabus was approved for value-added courses as well as upcoming UG courses. 

Informing about the curriculum, the officials earlier said, "To adopt courses and admit students on the basis of syllabi of first semester papers is extremely unacademic”.

“It is only when all the framework, coursework, syllabi and scheme of evaluation is known that the value of the degree can be understood" he further added. Interested candidates can check the detailed syllabus by visiting the official website of Delhi University at du.ac.in.
