New Delhi: Delhi University (DU) has introduced a brand-new and important facility to display real-time data of courses and college preferences to help prospective students with the admissions process for the upcoming academic year 2022-23.

DU has launched a brand-new tab called "College-Program wise Preference Count", through which the candidates can now see how many applicants have chosen a specific programme in a college.

Candidates will benefit from having access to real-time, up-to-the-minute data on the number of students choosing the programme or course. This will also assist in comprehending the programmes and colleges that the candidates have chosen for this academic year.

According to the DU website, the students will have access to go to the admissions tab and click the link for course-college preference in the top scroll.

To make sure that candidates receive up-to-date information, the website will be updated every two hours. Candidates will be able to make informed decisions regarding their programme of study and preferred colleges thanks to this real-time data.

The university also advised the candidates to make the most of the preferences that are currently being offered. A DU representative stressed that candidates should choose every combination in order to take full advantage of the allocation rounds.

Despite being eligible for a large number of options, candidates are choosing a far less number of options when expressing their preferences. In order to benefit the most from the allocation rounds, a candidate, for instance, must choose all of the combinations if the University has given him or her 1469 Program plus College preferences.

Candidates are instructed to choose the most Program plus College combinations possible to increase their chances of receiving allocations in accordance with the CSAS rules.

Candidates must note that if they do not save their choices and preferences before 4:59 pm of October 10, the CSAS portal will automatically lock the preferences saved by the candidate.
