Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Launches India's First Virtual School in Delhi for Classes 9 to 12


New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal has launched India's first-ever "Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS)” for students of classes 9th to 12th across. The admission process for virtual schools has also started in online mode from Wednesday, August 31, 2022

As per the official statement made by Delhi CM, the admission process for these virtual schools is now open for all eligible and interested students who are aged between 13 and 18. Interested students can now apply for admissions through the official website at DMVS.ac.in.

Referring to the initiative, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, "There are many children who cannot go to school since there are issues like the school being far away or other obstacles. Many parents do not get their daughters educated since they don't want to send them out”.

“We are starting this virtual school to ensure they get educated. This school is inspired by virtual classes that had been necessitated due to the COVID-19 pandemic” he further added.

Informing about the initiative, he stated that the newly launched Delhi Model Virtual School will offer education to those students who are not able to go to school due to any reasons. These schools will conduct virtual sessions for students of classes 9th to 12th throughout the year. 

These schools will also prepare students for various entrance exams such as NEET, CUET , and JEE among others. To apply for admission to the schooling platform, candidates are required to submit their application form in the required format in online mode. 

Talking about Delhi Virtual School Admission 2022, CM added, "the admissions to schooling platform will be open for students across India who are aged between 13 and 18 and they will also be prepared by experts for entrance exams like NEET, CUET, and JEE along with skill-based training,".

After the admission process, the classes will begin in virtual mode and students will have the option to rewatch the recorded lectures as per their needs. The virtual school will be affiliated with the Delhi Board of School Education Board.

In the official tweet, Arvind Kejriwal added, "We are fulfilling Baba Saheb Ambedkar's dream to provide education to every child of the country. Admissions have started for Class 9 to Delhi's digital school and students can take admission by accessing DMVS.ac.in".
