New Delhi: Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India has begun the application process for CITS Admission for the academic year 2022-2023. Aspiring candidates can apply online through the official website dgt.gov.in till July 03, 2022.

CITS Admissions is conducted for admission to Craft Instructor Training through centralized counselling. The selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks secured by candidates in the national level All India Common Entrance Test (AICET).
Under the CITS scheme, registered candidates get admission into 34 trades at 28 National Skill Training Institutes (NSTI), 6 State Government Institute of Training of Trainers (IToT), and 12 Private Institutes of Training of Trainers.
As per the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) aims to train Instructor trainees in the techniques of transferring hands-on skills, in order to train semi-skilled/skilled manpower for the industry.

CITS Admission 2022: Eligibility, Selection Process
To apply for CITS Admission 2022, candidates are required to meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria:
- Candidates have to hold an NTC/NAC (NCVT certificate in relevant trade) or Diploma/ Degree from a recognized Board of Technical Education/University or equivalent.
- Final admission to CITS courses will be subjected to the successful completion of their training under CTS. If candidates fail the final examination, they will not be allowed to continue the CITS courses.
- SCVT candidates are eligible.
- CoE candidates are not eligible.
Selection Process: After the application process, registered candidates will be selected for Craft Instructor Training Scheme on the basis of their performance in entrance examinations such as AICET. Shortlisted candidates will be further called for counselling rounds.
CITS Admission 2022: How to Apply Online?

Step 1: Visit the official application portal at dgt.gov.in.
Step 2: Register yourself after filling in the required details, such as Mobile Number, Email Id etc.
Step 3: Now, log in with your registration credentials and fill in all details in the Application form.
Step 4: Pay the application fee if required and submit the Application form.
Step 5: Applicants must also take a printout of the form for all future needs.
