Central University of Himachal Pradesh Promotes Intermediate Even Semester Students on the Basis of Internal Semester

The Central University of Himachal Pradesh has made a decision to promote all the even semester students to the next odd semester for the academic session 2019-20.

As per the official notice released by the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Students of intermediate semesters of undergraduate and postgraduate courses will be promoted to the next semester.

However, this rule will not be applied for students who are in their final year/semester of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.,

The varsity has released an official notification with the approval of the competent authority regarding this step.

Results on the Basis of Internal Assessment

The varsity has decided to declare results in the basis of internal assessment instead of conducting examinations.

As per the official notice of CUHP, the SGPA of the current semester will not be considered during the calculation of the Final Grade Point Average.

 Moreover, the SGPA will also not be considered while deciding the merit for the purpose of awarding the Gold Medal which is awarded on completion of the Undergraduate, Postgraduate degree programmes.

Examination at a Later Date

For students who are not satisfied with the marks awarded through the internal assessment can opt for examinations at a later date.

As per the notice, the varsity will conduct the semester examinations for such students when the current situation gets stabled.
