New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has instructed colleges and universities to accept digital copies of Class 12 migration certificates, mark sheets, and passing certifications of students accessible in Digilocker for admissions 2022.

The board advised colleges that these certificates bearing the controller of examinations' digital signature are "legally genuine." CBSE made its announcement after receiving requests from various colleges for students to produce a paper-printed copy of the migration certificate.
"There have been reports that specific colleges require students to produce a physical copy of their migration certificate. However, it is advised that papers like mark sheets, passing certificates, and migration certificates accessible in Digilocker with digital signatures are legally acceptable and should be recognized by all higher education institutions, according to CBSE's notice.
On July 22, CBSE released the Class 12 results for 2022, with a 92.71% total pass rate. "Students' mark sheets, passing certificates, and migration certificates were made available in their Digilockers as soon as the results were announced. The controller of examinations has digitally signed both of the documents that are accessible in the Digilocker, " according to the board.
Study Sanyam Bhardwaj, the controller of CBSE, asked the University Grants Commission (UGC) to mandate all educational institutions to accept the digital copies of certificates that are available on Digilocker and include QR codes and digital signatures. All educational institutions were asked by the UGC earlier in January to recognize diplomas, grade reports, and other papers published on the DigiLocker account as legitimate documents.
