Dr. Archana Aravindan is presently serving as the Director at Impact Paramedical & Healthcare Institute, New Delhi. Over 14 years of experience in public health, field epidemiology, disease surveillance, training and teaching programs, she has been an integral part of many government bodies like NCDC, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, etc. Also, she has designed several training modules on various communicable diseases and assisted National Rapid Response Teams (RRTs) for outbreaks, and conducted several field based epidemiological studies as well.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Passion and contentment towards education and students”

I have always been passionate about teaching and training students. Bringing quality to healthcare education has also been a driving force and one of the factors that has kept me connected to the education sector. Apart from this the niche opportunity that paramedical or healthcare education offers and the feeling of contentment that it provides when I know that I have played my part in shaping a student’s career are impeccable. 

How would you define your leadership style?

“Motivation, Commitment, Creativity and Teamwork”

I always believe that in the education sector when you are dealing with young minds motivation is the key to guide them to choose their career and be focused in achieving the same. I also believe in being committed to the cause of building a quality healthcare workforce for the industry and the country. The key strategy is creativity which helps in building quality and also teamwork which helps in timeliness and consistency.

I am a strong believer of providing a healthy environment for the students to focus on their future. I am personally involved in various motivational activities for students that help them focus more and learn apparently. We organize many activities on a regular basis to engage students and aid them with courage and guidance.
