NSOJ is an institution that stands for truth and justice. I am passionate about the mission of campus to nurture students for their passion. Moreover, I am a previous student of the London School of Economics and an Obama Scholar at Columbia University in New York. I ensure the commitment of faculty and access to opportunities to a student on a global level.

“Inspire the staff and students to achieve high potential”

I believe in the principles of leadership of inspiring staff, students, and faculty to achieve the highest potential. It is a culture of service. I also believe in the power of shared vision and values to achieve goals. We meet the highest principles of professional and personal ethics. I feel proud that all members of the NSOJ community strive to be ethical and compassionate human beings. They believe in truth, justice, and democracy.

How do you strategize about the plans for the administration of NSOJ?

“Implement a global advisory board and international collaboration with several organizations”

Our programs design for the communications of professionals over the coming decades. We frame programs and methodology with a global advisory board to produce global leaders. The international collaborations with leading academic, media and civil society organizations help students curriculum. We believe that our work should speak for itself. Moreover, the institution has an industry-standard podcast, hosts conferences, and talks featuring speakers in the world.

What can an inbound student gain from studying in your institution?

“Excellent faculty who provide a Socratic method of learning to candidates”

Teaching on our campus is similar to the Socratic method of learning. Students are required to prepare for class. Faculty members act as facilitators instead of instructors. We have a zero fine policy, and exemplary college results. The students in NSoJ achieve several distinctions in university exams.

How does the curriculum of NSOJ ensure industrial practice?

“Participation of students in assessments, podcasts, and published articles”

Our faculty members are led by a former senior editor of the Hindu and the Economic Times. Moreover, the curriculum is designed by the best in the industry. Our ongoing assessments are structured for students to submit assignments through published articles, video reports, or podcasts. Average students publish more than 20 industry-standard videos, audio or print reports on our campus. They are recognized by the leading news organizations in India.

“Our institute is a home for the pupils of different races”

Our students are from several linguistic, religious, regional, and economic backgrounds. The liberal values and focus on ethics make NSOJ a fun place. People from all backgrounds see the campus as a home. It is a place where they express themselves freely. The entire residential area covers an 18-acre campus in the heart of Bangalore city. However, campus life is a vital part of students’ educational experience.

What are your roles and responsibilities?

“Inspire the staff and students with the value of justice”

I have to inspire students and staff to hold the principles of truth and justice. It is necessary to work passionately for higher results instead of personal interests. The sharing of truthful, and powerful stories are essential.

What do you think about the top priority of NSOJ over the next 10 years?

“Provide excellence for democracy and justice studies to students”

Several priorities are decided for next year. One of these is excellence for democracy. On the other hand, a space for media and justice studies on a global level.

What is your vision for the NSOJ?

“Train a journalist generation who care about justice, truth, and democracy”

My vision is to train a generation of journalists who care about justice, truth, and democracy. It is a vision without a final destination in many ways. My vision for NSOJ will be relevant as there is oppression, social injustice, and misinformation in society. We have made progress in college as a platform for free speech, a community of students, alumni, and faculty. We are excited to grow our pupils in the upcoming years.

What do you like people to know about your NSOJ?

“Dedicated journalism school that progresses for aspiring students”

The campus is a dedicated journalism school in India for undergraduate and graduate media studies. Our television, podcast studios, and productions are world-class. We have a vibrant social media handle on Instagram of any college in India. It is maintained by our students.

What are the biggest challenges you viewed for higher education and NSOJ?

“To be a relevant place for intellectual, academic, social, professional and personal learning”

One of the challenges for institutions is to be relevant places for intellectual, academic, social, professional, and personal learning. Colleges need to be places where personalities, passions, talents, friendships, and communities exist. A lifetime connection enables students on the campus. It is because of the number of students. We admit not more than 25 persons per course. Moreover, we believe that the challenges facing our country are greater than our differences. We need to come together to solve problems with joy.

What suggestions do you like to give aspiring students?

“Choose a college to achieve your potential with essential values”

One of the biggest decisions of life is choosing a college. It is a community that values your highest potential. A community of like-minded people is available inside the college. It helps to progress the communication of pupils.
