Dr. Rahul Garg is presently serving as the Dean at Venkateshwar Institute of Pharmacy, Sai Tirupati University, Udaipur. Having more than 14 years of teaching experience, he has received IDMA G. P. Nair Award (2004) by Indian Drugs Manufacturing Association, Mumbai and has published more than 35 papers in reputed journals. He is vice-president of APTI, Rajasthan State Branch; chairman of IPGA, Academic Division; state coordinator of ACPI and life member of APTI, Vigyan Bharti, IACP and IPGA.
What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?
“Eternal learning and better understanding”
Education is endless learning field, updating regularly as the technology advances making new innovations. With young brains and knowledge sharing process, learning becomes easier and more understandable for children as well as teachers. As a prominent part of this education sector, I have got a chance to learn continuously and upgrade my skills on a regular basis.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to students are?
“Preparing students for research and higher education”
Being a Dean in Faculty of Pharmacy, my objective is that my students get all the latest knowledge of the field to make their future bright with the guidance of teachers and faculty. We also promote involvement of students in research along with teaching. I always try to provide the best infrastructure in laboratories, good books in library and practical training exposure to students along with best possible resources to build up their interest in the research field.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in your college?
“Quality learning practices with good infrastructure”
In my experience students who are studying in our campus get good exposure of facilities of medical college and hospital to widen their knowledge and skills in the field. We are prominently providing them several internship opportunities, and hands-on workshops experience on soft skills and personality development and organize a number of conferences, seminars and webinars on a regular basis to keep them updated.
How would you describe your leadership style?
“Scrutinizing challenges and making out for solutions”
I believe in interactive and responsive approaches when it comes to create an influential team. I clearly pass on the objectives and challenges to the members and attain their due ideas and solutions for bringing up the best outcomes.
What do you think should be the college’s top priority over the next 10 years?
“More collaborations and better opportunities for students”
We aspire to build upon a good academic foundation for students pursuing higher education. We are working on establishing strong Placement and training cell to offer finest opportunities to students studying in the college and make them start their career with high-tech companies and industries in India and abroad. We are looking forward to make effective Industry –Institute Tie-up to enhance practical learning and guidance and promote research activities among students and faculty member.

What valuable advice would you like to give to the aspiring students?
“Invest your time for a bright future”
Do every work with full zeal and enthusiasm and play best in your part. Give proper time to your studies and do a lot of hard work to gain good results. Remember, career is not a destination; it’s a journey that develops you in a fully fledged human being.
