Jessy K Jayanth is an Assistant Professor of Dr Ambedkar Global Law Institute, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. She did BA Economics, Bachelor Of Laws (LLB), and Master Of Laws. Her interested areas are Business Law, Company Law, Corporate Finance, Taxation Law, GST, Indian Economy, and Kerala Economy. She enrolled as advocate in kerala bar council with enrollment number k/000516/2018 on 12th may 2018. She presented several papers in national and international journals. She also received the Rajya Puraskar award in the year 2008. 

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students in Dr Ambedkar Global Law Institute, Tirupati?

“Teaching classes regularly, monitoring and assessing students’ learning”

One of the primary duties is to teach classes regularly with excellent presentations. Another one is to ensure students' participation in classroom discussions. We support them to participate in classroom presentations, seminars and debates. Our faculties monitor and assess students’ learning by clarifying their doubts. I always give attention to every student in the classroom. 

How do you establish healthy relations with the students and fellow faculty? 

“Adopt friendly behavior among students and they can freely raise their queries at any time”

Students feel free to ask any questions related to their studies. We adopt a friendly behavior and smile all the time on campus. Faculties support students to actively participate in engaging classroom activities and clarifying doubts effectively. Pupils can approach me at any time regarding their subject clarifications. I am always friendly with my colleagues and approach faculty members for academic discussions. 

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects ast industry oriented in Dr Ambedkar Global Law Institute, Tirupati?

“Discuss court cases and weekly debates on campus”

I always discuss court cases in the classroom when dealing with Law subjects. We organize weekly debates on contemporary areas for pupils. So, they can improve their skill sets. 

What are the best practices offered by campus for students to gain necessary skills?

“Assignments, Seminars, and digital infrastructure are available for pupils”

We always give good infrastructure for classroom teaching. It also includes digital infrastructure and projectors. Students get assignments, seminars and teaching assistance at every time. 

How do you strategize the curriculum and update it for the students in Dr Ambedkar Global Law Institute, Tirupati?

“Discuss relevant studies in the outside world for pupils and add industry related syllabus on subjects”

We make students aware of the important changes happening in our surroundings. I discuss relevant studies in the outside world for pupils. Our campus updates the syllabus as per industry relevance topics.

What are your views upon the placements and higher education for students?

“Provide information related to placemats and higher education for students from the campus”

We support pupils to find employment and pursue higher education after graduation. I always motivate students about placements and higher education opportunities. Pupils get excellent placement opportunities in corporates, business, real estates and courts from the law education. We encourage interested students to pursue research in institutions/Universities in India and abroad. 

How do you help your student to cope up with the outside competition?

“Help pupils to focus on their interested areas and motivate students to deal with outside competition”

We motivate pupils to engage with changes happening in the outside world. I help pupils to deal with their interested areas. Hence, they can achieve their excellence in subjects. 

Do you have any extracurricular activities to enhance students' skills to face real-world challenges?

“Culture events, seminars and debates are provided for students”

We organize debates, and seminars regularly in the classroom for pupils. Our campus gives several competitions for students to improve their confidence. We provide national level technical, cultural and sports events each year. 

What are the challenges you faced to uplift the quality of education ofDr Ambedkar Global Law Institute, Tirupati?

“To encourage students to read national and international academic journals”

One of the primary challenges is to encourage students to read more national and international academic journals. We face challenges to raise the confidence and self esteem of students at that time. At that time, we focus on practical and spoken based activities for pupils. It removes their worries, hesitation and fear.

What is your vision for Dr Ambedkar Global Law Institute, Tirupati?

“To implement the best lectures and update subjects for pupils”

Our vision is to impart the best lectures in the classroom. I like teaching that helps me learn deeply. I need to widen practical learning and enhance students' skills. 

How does the curriculum of your department ensure industrial practice?

“Design curriculum as per the university rules and expertise of students in laws”

We introduce subjects based on legal studies for pupils. Our campus design curriculum as per the university rules. The faculties who came to campus are from diverse backgrounds well known with subjects. They prepare the students to face any challenges in the real world.

How does the department enhance the skills of the faculty as per industry standards? 

“Conferences, seminars, PowerPoint presentations, and expert lectures are given to faculties”

Our campus organizes Faculty development programs each month. We give conferences, seminars, PowerPoint presentations, and expert lectures for them. It is the best way to interact with the best minds in our profession.

What approaches do you bring in apart from curriculum to train the students in Dr Ambedkar Global Law Institute, Tirupati?

“Group discussions, simulation, role plays, and debates given to candidates”

We train students through PowerPoint sessions on classroom teaching. They get a chance to participate in Group discussions, simulation, role plays, and debates.I introduce different aspects of life through discussion in the classroom matters.
