Dr.Poornima is an Assistant Professor at Dr. Ambedkar Global Law Institute. She did LLB from S.V University and LLM from CCS University. She practiced as a lawyer under Keshav Reddy Advocate, High court of AP, and Indus Legal Aid Associates, Delhi. She also attended the National Conference on Consumer Rights at Andhra University.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Monitor, organize, and coordinate students through activities and practical tasks”

My roles are to schedule, coordinate, monitor the students for internal tests. It is essential to encourage each student to participate in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. My responsibilities are to guide the students in the performance of practical tasks and skill exercises. Evaluating their performance by advising and assisting them in their work is necessary. The participation of candidates in professional development activities helps to enrich their skills. All needful steps for development aid to establish a center of excellence. 


How do you establish healthy relations with the students and faculty in Dr. Ambedkar Global Law Institute?

“Formulate classroom activities and build a positive attitude towards colleagues”

I provide a structure in teaching for students. Moreover, showing interest in each student to enhance their knowledge with enthusiasm. The classroom activities by presentation are based on choices and interest in the topic. Having a positive attitude towards colleagues is vital. Formation of unit plans for development in the system of education is important. Although, collective discussion to identify the real needs of the students in their career path builds healthy relations.


How do you bring a practical approach towards subjects as industry-oriented?

“Online programs, internships and conferences for students”

It is mandatory to keep the current situation in view. The balance of each student to gain knowledge is a vital part. It helps pupils to make use of various online programs, conferences, and internships. These programs are conducted by the law branches nationally and internationally.


What are the practices offered to students to gain skills in Dr. Ambedkar Global Law Institute?

“Online journals and presentations through projectors for students to catch the topics easily”

Our campus provides pre-lecture practice to each faculty. This led to presenting new information orally through a PPT presentation. It includes uniformity in students in active learning using projectors and mike systems in each classroom. Moreover, students were told to make use of Complete Digital Journal. It is an online journal provided with all information relating to every case law. Candidates are also promoted to practice under the best lawyers.

“Provide the right direction and career prospects to pupils”

Our institute provided guidelines to cater to the future needs of candidates. It happens through placements and in return it is providing the right direction to higher education. That means, LLM to master in bachelor students of law. The campus opens up more doors in the right direction for the students. Making the students attentive in the class is an essential one. By creating interest in the subject, and engaging students to follow class helps to learn widely. Moreover, conducting quizzes, classroom tests, dividing students into groups for group discussion aids to deal with the outside world. A reflective response in discussion improves communication skills and competitive spirit in students.

Students must have an hour of training classes every day by faculties. It enhances participation level in the pre-planned program. Every student thinks differently. What are the challenges you faced to uplift the quality of education?

I have realized that nothing can be changed over a night. Hence, I am doing paperwork and rescheduling the curriculum slowly. It happens through parental involvement and design changes in the system of education. I am adopting new techniques by gathering different views and ideas from the legendaries. It helps to keep the uniformity.


What is your vision about Dr. Ambedkar Global Law Institute?

“Uniqueness in the legal fraternity and belief in the new doctrine”

My vision is to see the uniqueness in our legal Fraternity. It is also warranted. We need a new Doctrine similar to the Doctrine of Severability. It helps to filter the eminent in society. I believe that the new Doctrine is none other than the education system in India. Students are not granted a degree when they are aware of nothing. Steps should be taken in the department to conduct exams similar to civil service. It aids to keep society in safe hands.


How does the curriculum of your college ensure the best industrial practice?

“By gathering feedback and encouraging faculties to deal with students”

Department scrutinizes its goals to grade connections and gather double-loop feedback. It encourages faculties for conducting interventions in the classroom. Moreover, it helps in collaboration among the students and faculty.


How does the campus raise the skills of faculty according to the industry standards?

“Encourage faculties for professional development in learning”

Empower each faculty by providing opportunities to take breaks after their key stress times. It also facilitates them to seek out professional development. Hence, it leaves a space and ensures learning responsibilities.


What are the interventions brought in apart from curriculum to train students?

“Focus on the gap of disrupted education and improve the results”

I am progressing to fill the gaps in disrupted education methodology. It happens through keeping the focus on each student by improving the outcome. Moreover, it fosters them to line up with their peers.

“Unique teaching methods by the teamwork of staff”

I have seen the unique teaching techniques and presentation skills from every faculty. Moreover, friendly teamwork by teaching and nonteaching staff is excellent. The strength of the college is Chairman, President, and the entire team. Staff members are provided with a shift basis in the work to enhance work strength. Faculties come up with new ideologies and create a room to discuss subject matters.

It is necessary to attend regular college to grow knowledge and stay focused always. An entry-level career starts by finding an internship during college days. It is essential to maintain healthy relationships with professors, classmates, and with society. Furthermore, skills and writing articles every week lead to the growth of students. All these provide a balance in personal life.
