Dr Anjani Kumar Srivastava is the Director (Officiating) and Associate Professor, at the School of Media and Journalism, DYPIU, Pune. He has completed his Ph.D. in Mass Communication (PR and Corporate Communication, CSR Communication and Brand Enhancement), MPhil and MJMC in Mass Communication. He is an Ex-working Journalist with experience of 14 years in the media industry and a total experience of 26 years in this field. His areas of research interest include new and Digital Media, Media and Communication studies, CSR Communication and Policy, Strategic Communication and Policy, and Development Communication.

The School of Media and Journalism (SMJ) has been started since the inception of DYPIU. The Media and Journalism department offers Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism and Mass Communication which is well recognized and approved by U.G.C and Ministry of Education, Central Government and Maharashtra State Government both.
This program includes many areas of Mass communication Discipline belonging to the Humanities and Social Sciences and Liberal arts education stream. Besides that, it also emphasizes the various technologies that exist for media platforms. These areas are Print Journalism (Newspaper, News Magazine), Digital News Websites, Digital Media Marketing including Social media which includes content creation for digital media platforms and content management, etc.
