Never hesitate, always speak up, and believe in yourself, says Mr. Dudheria

Mr. Vivek Dudheria is currently working as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata. With an experience of more than 26 years as a chartered accountant, he has worked with various reputed companies like ITC Ltd and Paharpur Cooling Towers Ltd. Apart from this, he also has a working experience as VP Finance in the film industry in Shree Venkatesh Films. 

In an exclusive interview with Collegedunia.com, Mr. Dudheria has shared his views on the education industry and working practices of his Institute. 

Experience in the Education Sector 

There is nothing like education; education creates the nation and its people. It gives me immense pleasure and satisfaction that we have the opportunity to groom and shape a student’s career. I firmly believe that there is no industry like education, which makes you feel proud when you see those students succeed in their lives.

Taking along the entire team to achieve the ultimate goals

I believe that a leader helps in integrating the goals of their team members with that of organizational goals. My style of leadership is to guide the members in the right direction and always stand beside them. People follow their leaders, so it is necessary for me as a leader to set a positive and excellent example for them.

Challenges faced as CFO 

Working as an administrator, I have not faced many challenges during my tenure. The only problems that I face regularly or once in a blue moon are - software problems or any students’ concerns, be it professionally or personally. My team always comes to me for guidance and advice, and I am always open to helping them without any hesitation.

Standard of Curriculum at NSHM 

Our curriculum is truly designed as per university guidelines. But, as the competition in the real-world is only increasing, we try to take that extra step to make our students industry ready. For this, we make sure to hold various workshops, seminars and guest lectures by the industry experts, to impart the required knowledge to the students as well as the faculty. 

Ideal School Environment as per Mr. Dudheria

For me, an ideal school environment must have a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. This can be achieved by holding regular interaction with the student and faculty. With this, the authorities should make sure to be a good listener and should understand the student’s issue without any biases. 

Placement Opportunities at NSHM

In here, we have a dedicated placement cell, which keeps a proper connection with the industry. Apart from this, the cell holds various sessions wherein they train each student to crack the interviews at the time of the recruitment drive.
