Dr. Bimal Aggarwal, Director, Rawal Institute of Management has 35 years of extensive experience not only in the field of academics but also in banking and other financial services. He did his MBA (Finance) from UT Dallas, USA and Ph.D. (Mgmt), and LLB from Delhi University. There are many national and international papers to his credit.  Besides several skills-based qualifications he is a great personification of leadership and management, he always motivates faculties and students to incorporated innovative quality education.

Aim of Rawal Institute of Management, Faridabad

The main focus of the Institution is to empower students with sound knowledge, wisdom, experience and training both at the academic level of engineering and in the highly competitive global industrial market.

Our main aim is to make our students employable. We undertake an integrated approach to the development of a candidate through workshop, grooming, and seminars. A candidate gets the feel of the course through these seminars and workshops and also learns the practical application of the vis-a-vis theory. There are trainers who groom our students for interviews and aptitude tests so that when they face interviews they are well equipped with theoretical concepts as well as practical application of those concepts.

Today, the world is changing at a fast pace. It is the era of digital convergence and the change would be even at a higher pace in the years to come. So, in this fast-changing economy, I would suggest keeping a balanced attitude towards study and recreation. If you want to take up any course, do take it up for your passion and not for money. If you go for money, a time would come when you would become exhausted even if you have earned a lot of money but if you have the passion for the subject knowledge curve will constantly grow which will ensure your unending success. Always we have to believe in ourselves and try to do the best for the people surrounding us who are deprived of what we have.

‘Success comes to those who work hard and stays with those, who don’t rest on the laurels of the past’

EDUCATION, a continuous process of growth from womb to tomb that is essential to man for development and progress. In technical sense, it is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, values and skills from one generation to another through institutions.

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. The 21st century has been a witness to human intelligence along with technology and social changes with such rapid speed that an untrained and rigid mind often finds itself unable to cope. Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. Creativity should be the core of any education.

‘Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.’

The process of teaching-learning in the present times derives much from this thought. The role of the college and the mentor has progressed from delivering instructions and has acquired the dimension of functioning as a facilitator who facilitates the process of learning using proven and effective pedagogies. Languages are a beautiful medium for expressing our thoughts and feelings creatively. You hear and learn that only 20-25% students are employable. The reason for the same is that students are bombarded with bookish knowledge while ignoring the learning part. The teacher teaches only, students appear for exams, pass the same with ease and grad degrees. But the employer is not happy because the students fail to deliver in the workplace due to lack of learning. This is where our institute is different. We, at Rawal Institute of Management, are different from other institutes. We spend 50% time on teaching and 50% on learning.

We have three programs at our institute viz. BHMCT, MBA & BBA. Out of 8 semesters in BHMCT, three full semesters will be spent in hotels for on-the-job training. So, by virtue of the curriculum, itself teaching and learning go hand in hand which enables the students to get jobs in 5, 4 and 3-star hotels easily.

However, the curriculum emphasizes on teaching only and not on learning but we ensure that proper learning takes place which enables the students to learn the practical aspects of the business. As a learning process, we undertake the following

1. First, we undertake Group development activities wherein each group of students is mentored by the respective Faculty Coordinators. These groups are given the task of conducting and managing various business topics on a weekly basis. The purpose is to stimulate the creative abilities of the students, inculcate the leadership skills and team spirit among them. 
2. Personality development programs – Every year we organize a customized training program dedicated to enhancing the skill set of the students. This program generally covers Communication skills, presentation skills, reading skills, team management, corporate etiquettes etc. the outcome of the program is to make the students ready for the corporate world. We dedicated 30 hrs per semester to this program.
3. Industry visits- an industrial visit is very crucial part of a curriculum. we conduct industrial visits frequently.
4. National/International conferences- We keep organizing national /international conferences for the betterment of faculty and students.
5. Special lectures from corporate head – To promote the close institutional relationship, our CRIC Department arranges guest lectures by experts from the company. The objective for this to sensitize the students on a particular industry.
6. We motivate students for Current business through newspapers, in order that they understand the economic environment and economic environment of the country and the world.

Extracurricular activities at Rawal Institute of Management, Faridabad

In extracurricular activities you will participate in many cultural and sports activities organized at both inter -college and intra-college level.  Chef competition has been successfully organized three times; this year also we hope to have a grand one for the hotel management students, to help the students showcase their culinary skills. It underlines our endeavor to go beyond the curriculum for the comprehensive growth of the students. The co-curriculum is an exceptionally important part of a student's college experience.

 At Rawal Institute of management, we too conduct career Guidance workshops from time to time to provide our students with a clear understanding of the various career choices available to them so that they make their educational and training investments nicely. Career workshops are conducted by people who are experts in their field and are able to give students a framework to plan their future proactively. These workshops help the students immensely in choosing the right career path to achieve success in their personal and future professional lives.

We are more alike than different and the only way to discover this is through traveling, learning other languages and interacting with people from outside our borders. We continually try to build strong ties with different universities over the globe.

Importance of education

Education thus is an essential prerequisite of modernization. It enables people to know the world beyond their own surroundings and transforms them to become rationalist and humanist in outlook and worldview. However, it has to be kept in mind that the education has got modernized and in turn, is contributing to the process of modernization of the Indian society.

Education is a very important tool to get positive changes in the society and country. Education helps us to absorb things from the genius people which have potential to improve the quality of life. Knowledge is the only precious thing which nobody can take away from us; it remains with us forever and increases if we distribute it among the needy people. It gives new and revolutionary ideas which help to alter the way of viewing the world. So, we can say that education is a pillar to the success and happiness.

Modern knowledge can only be acquired through education as it plays a very important role in enhancing the professional life of the individuals. People working in different spheres of the economy should have required skills sets to do justice to their job profiles. It is only possible by the acquisition of knowledge through hands-on experience.

Dr. Neerav Verma HOD RIM holding an extensive 14 years of teaching experience. with specialization in Marketing and Quantitative Techniques. He has done Ph.D. and MBA from Bundelkhand University Jhansi and Bachelor of Mathematics (Hons.) from Banaras Hindu University Varanasi.

Prof.(Dr.) Rajesh Tiwari. He has done his Ph.D., M. Com, LLM and MBA with Finance and IB as specializations and has 29 years of experience in teaching and academic administration.

Dr. Bhawna Syal, a versatile faculty of strategic management and Marketing, having 13 years of teaching experience. She has done Ph.D. in management along with MBA.

Mr. Rajeev R. Mishra is having 19 years of experience in Hotel Industry & academics. He has done his MA and diploma both in Hotel Management & catering technology from IHM Lucknow. He has written book on “Managing hotel front office operations”

Ms. Mandeep an expert in Finance and Accounting having 8 years of experience in academics and 1 year in industry. She has done MBA. She is UGC-NET Qualified.

Ms. Megha Virmani Arya, an expert in Marketing and Business Communication, and having 8 years of teaching experience. She has done M.Phil and MBA and pursuing Ph.D.

Mr. Jitender Singh, a skillful resource in Accounts & Economics having 8 years of teaching experience. He has done M.Phil, MBA, and M.Com. 

Ms. Tamanna MBA (HR) having 8 years of teaching experience.

Ms. Pallavi Tandon is having 7 years of teaching experience. She is MBA an (HR) and MA in economics.

Mr. Sulabh Aggarwal a talented faculty in Operations Management and IT having 6 years of teaching experience and 1 year incorporate.

Ms. Devika Bajetha, an expert in Computer Applications & IT having 5 years of teaching experience. She is MCA and M.Tech.

Mr. Sachin Kumar, an expert in Hotel Industry.
