What factors keep you connected with the education sector?

I have more than 10 years of experience working as a professor to postgraduate and undergraduate students. One of the primary factors connecting me with the education sector is to change the mindset of students. Another one is to bring changes in society and improve the students' growth. The power to contribute to their overall development always attracts me towards the education sector.

What are your roles towards students and SDJ International College, Surat?

“To inculcate high moral values, integrity, and quality of empathy among students”

One of my duties is to instill moral values, qualities of empathy and integrity in students instead of imparting just knowledge. All these traits assist them to excel on both personal and professional fronts. My responsibility towards my institute is to observe their rules and fulfill my duty with uprightness. 

What is the top priority of the institute over the next 10 years?

“To introduce summer programs, on-field assignment, and prioritize skill-based courses for candidates”

Basics of organic farming should be introduced in the as a compulsory element curriculum irrespective of the streams. Another one is to conduct summer programs and field assignments for students of all streams. It will help them to learn more about practical side of the outside environment and will refine their survival skills. Institute should focus more on skill based courses for students’ employability. 

What is your vision for the SDJ International College, Surat? Has it evolved over time?

“To achieve academic success in the State and focus on student’s overall growth”

Our Campus has digitally improvised since the day I have joined. Earlier, we used to maintain office and students records in old fashioned way. But paper dependency has been drastically reduced in the campus over the past five years. Our campus has an online portal for assignment submissions of students and other academic tasks. Our computer department works tirelessly to make the administrative and academic system more efficient.

What do you like people to know about your campus?

“At our institute students take the front seat”

Our students take the front seat in organizing various events on campus. Our main fests, Inferno and Wow are organized and managed by the students’ committee. They create every element of this fest from inviting admirable guests, managing finances, and decoration, to build-up activities, etc. Their dedication to these events is undeniable and it enriches their skills. These events provide them with invaluable experience and enhance their abilities. 

What are the greatest strengths of SDJ International College, Surat?

“Making every student comfortable with the changing digital scenario and efficiency of management on campus”

We are moving on the path of digitalization and it lessens human errors extensively. The time taken for tasks are reduced through the adoption of digital methods. Our campus is the first one to design our portal for conducting internal online MCQ exams for students.
