The new school – S P Jain London School of Management (SPJ London) – will build on the global business education philosophy of The S P Jain Global Group and offer students from the UK and abroad the opportunity to study in London and also at S P Jain’s other campuses in Dubai, Singapore, Sydney and Mumbai.

With GMT 0, I call it the centre of our planet earth,” shares Nitish Jain, Founder & President of The S P Jain Global Group.

It also provides for an excellent location for part time jobs, internships and industry guest lectures,” adds Nitish.

“Many congratulations to SP Jain School of Global Management on selecting London as the location for their next international campus. “We are delighted to welcome S P Jain to London! We have heard of their strong reputation and futuristic education. London is a centre of global business, and we are confident that students would have a superb learning experience. SP Jain Global receives a slew of high rankings in the Australian Quality Indicators for Learning and Technology (QILT) 2021 Graduate Outcomes Survey

Date: February 10, 2022

SP Jain School of Global Management, a Forbes #12 ranked business school, has outperformed every university in Australia in the percentage of overseas student employment (full-time). The other parameters were overall employment rate, labour force participation rate and median salary. Compared with the 40 Australian universities across all disciplines, SP Jain outperformed the university average by a large measure on three of the four employment outcomes. SP Jain, on all indicators, has better employment outcomes in Business & Management than the international student sector averages. Of the 32 private providers surveyed, SP Jain had the second-highest full-time employment rate and the 5th highest median salary.

The QILT surveys are Australia's largest government-sponsored learning and teaching surveys. By bringing together data from all Australian institutions concerning students' experiences and graduate career outcomes, the information gained from these surveys assists students in making informed decisions about their higher education options. Students may compare schools based on the findings of hundreds of QILT questionnaires filled out by current and recent students and alumni. The polls take into account a variety of factors, including satisfaction with face-to-face conversations, computer access, graduation incomes, and employment outcomes. The 2021 Graduate Outcomes Survey is a study of recent graduates four to six months after the completion of their studies.

Commenting on these rankings, Mr. Nitish Jain, President of SP Jain Global, said – “We are delighted to have done well across all parameters. Many factors are used in determining these rankings. For us, graduate success is key. The impact of SP Jain’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program is reflected through the success of our many alumni who are working at top organizations literally all around the world.”

In 2021, the school reported that over 80% of its students who stayed back in Australia upon completing their BBA secured full-time roles at average starting salaries of AUD 55,000. Students also received offers from companies based in the US, Dubai, India, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Colombia.

“Being a student-centric institution of higher learning, SP Jain focuses on all three parameters – Input (admissions), Processes (Curriculum) and Output (placement). Clearly, the placement of our students and the resounding success of our alumni align quite well with what we’ve seen from this recent 2021 QILT graduate outcomes survey. Every effort is taken by the team at SP Jain to ensure that no stone is unturned with a primary objective on student success and well-being and in transforming them to become responsible citizens,” shared Dr. Vaidyanathan (Vaidy) Jayaraman, Dean of the School’s UG Programs & Professor of Supply Chain Operations, Data Sciences & Analytics.

SP Jain Global's BBA is a 4-year multi-city program where students live, study and work in three of the world's leading business capitals. They can spend year 1 in Singapore or Mumbai, year 2 in Dubai, and years 3 and 4 in Australia. At each campus location, students get opportunities to pursue projects, out-of-class activities, and internships that make them very relevant and attractive to leading companies in Australia and worldwide.

SP Jain School of Global Management

Date: June 04, 2021

SP Jain School of Global Management, one of the world’s top-ranked business schools, announced today the launch of its Master of Artificial Intelligence in Business (MAIB) program. The rise of AI has created a great demand for engineers who understand its inner workings and, more importantly, for experts who understand both the technology and business needs and can translate a business requirement to a technical specification. Created in response to the need of such business savvy tech experts, the program is set to welcome its inaugural cohort in October 2021.

The MAIB is a 2-year full-time program accredited by the Australian government’s Tertiary Education Quality & Standards Agency (TEQSA). It will be offered to students in two formats – online over weekends and on-campus in Sydney (classes will be held online until borders open). Students opting for the Sydney option may be able to live and work in Australia by applying for a Post Study Work Visa, on completing their degree

The program curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation in the principles and techniques of AI and business subjects like economics, accounting, finance, and marketing. As students progress in the program, the focus shifts to advanced topics in data science, machine learning, decision theory, strategy, and change management. In addition to these, students will work on several projects that apply AI to practical problems in retail, manufacturing, finance, and other mainstream businesses.

Most AI courses are technology-centric; the MAIB, on the other hand, is unique in that it offers a combination of two of today’s most sought-after skills – AI and business,” said Mr. Nitish Jain, President of SP Jain School of Global Management. “We see the launch of this program as a great opportunity for graduates to master the sophisticated skills employers of the future will be looking for.

Dr Debashis Guha, Director – MAIB at SP Jain School of Global Management, said, “Artificial Intelligence has already made a substantial impact on many industries and economic sectors, and it is likely to completely transform the entire global economy in the next decade. Traditional managerial roles have changed, and they now require knowledge of AI and ML technologies. With this program, our goal is to create technically adept business professionals, who can act as a bridge and translate business issues into technological requirements and models.

Admissions are currently open to the October 2021 intake of the program. The program is open to any undergraduate degree holder with a quantitative background, but is ideal for students with undergraduate degrees in engineering, science, business and economics

S P Jain Global Rated No. 1 among all Higher Education providers in Australia for improvement in student satisfaction

Date: May 26, 2021

SP Jain School of Global Management, one of the world’s top-ranked business schools, has been rated #1 from among 133 institutes in Australia in the QILT survey, making it the school that has demonstrated the greatest improvement of all university and non-university higher education institutions in the country to ensure quality of education amid a global pandemic. The survey results, released recently, place SP Jain as the #1 higher education institution nationally, for overall improvement in student satisfaction.

The QILT (Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching) surveys are the biggest government-endorsed surveys of their kind in Australia. Information gathered from these surveys help students make informed choices about their higher education options by bringing together data from all Australian universities about students’ experiences and graduate job outcomes. Students can compare institutions based on the results of thousands of QILT surveys completed by current students and graduates. The surveys are based on a range of information, such as the satisfaction of face-to-face discussions, access to computers, graduate salaries, and employment outcomes.

The Graduate Outcomes Survey—in which SP Jain ranked #1—is a study of recent graduates three to six months after the completion of their studies. Students were surveyed on their short-term employment outcomes and further study activities.

Mr. Nitish Jain, President, SP Jain School of Global Management, shared, “The survey results are just further proof that our strategy to put students front and centre in all our activities has paid off. In a year of turbulence and significant external factors in the form of COVID-19 and the restrictions the pandemic caused, our students are not just satisfied with their education, but also with the skills and outcomes they have achieved, which are required to be professionals and contributing members of the business world.

Dr Vaidyanathan ‘Vaidy’ Jayaraman, Dean of the School's Undergraduate Programs and Professor - Supply Chain Operations, Data Sciences & Analytics, adds, “The 2020 Student Satisfaction Survey was primarily conducted among 133 higher education institutions, including all 41 Australian universities and 92 Non-University Higher Education Institutions registered in Australia. As the saying goes, “The proof of the pudding lies in its eating” – in the case of SP Jain Global, this # 1 quality improvement rating further validates our never-ending quest for excellence and the continuous improvement philosophy that we have embraced in everything we follow and inculcate among the student body. Keeping the current scenario in mind, we have also adjusted our intake closing dates to ensure that the postponement of board exams does not have a drastic effect on the admission process, reiterating our philosophy of prioritising our students.”

SP Jain’s BBA students have previously secured immersive internship experiences with various companies like Ogilvy, HSBC, Legoland, P&G, Coco Cola, Filli Café, Rak Bank & WWF.

Owing to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 crisis, the School has introduced several flexible learning options, including an option for students to start the program online and continue on campus at a later stage.

S P JAIN SCHOOL OF GLOBAL MANAGEMENT

Date: April 27, 2021

S P Jain School of Global Management (S P Jain Global), a Forbes Top 12 ranked business school, shared findings of its 2020 Executive MBA Survey. The 130+ participant pool comprised current students, alumni, senior executives and experts, members of the School's Industry Advisory Boards across Singapore, Dubai and Sydney, and senior executives and experts from global corporates such as Amazon, DHL, Landmark, Microsoft and UAE Exchange. Alumni and students interviewed were primarily managers / senior managers representing the aviation, banking and finance, consultancy, entertainment and media, healthcare, oil and gas, manufacturing, services, and shipping sectors.

Commenting on the knowledge, skills and capabilities future leaders needed to possess, 90% of participants emphasised the inclusion of topics like Career adaptation, Strategic thinking, Business acumen, Value creation and Entrepreneurship in the MBA curriculum.

Insights from this survey have been used to design and develop a brand-new curriculum for S P Jain Global's internationally-recognised Executive MBA program. The new curriculum now includes topics like Leadership and Cross-cultural Management, Change Management, and Corporate Governance and Ethics. The curriculum also lends an increased focus upon applied projects and soft (employability) skills, which has proven to benefit students and their organisations.

Mr. Nitish Jain, President, S P Jain School of Global Management, said, "We believe strongly in empowering our students to lead real change and deliver lasting impact that adds value for their organisations. Our classroom consists of students from around the globe; the program participants have the chance to work in global teams, form strong cross-cultural connections, and understand global business practices through the shared experiences of their classmates." In 2021, the program attracted students from 16 different countries, such as India, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the Philippines, Denmark, Nepal, UAE, the Netherlands, and the US.

SP Jain Global’s ELO Technology wins ‘Best Tech for Education’ Award

Date: December 21, 2020

SP Jain School of Global Management’s proprietary online learning technology, Engaged Learning Online (ELO), has won the Best Tech for Education Award at the India Digital Enabler Awards (I.D.E.A) 2020, hosted recently by Entrepreneur India. ELO, launched in late 2018, is a one-of-a-kind virtual learning platform that brings the dynamism and engagement of a classroom online and in real time.

We are thrilled to be recognised for Technology in Education, something we believe in strongly here at SP Jain. Fortunately, we had the foresight to see the rapid growth in online education way before COVID-19 and had developed our own proprietary online learning technology which is custom- designed to replicate an actual classroom,” shares Nitish Jain, President of the School. “And, unlike Zoom, Google Hangout or other popular videoconferencing software, that were mostly designed for office use, the emphasis within ELO is upon student engagement. In a real classroom, for instance, students get the benefit of eye contact with the professor. ELO is the only technology that enables this even if there are 60 students in the same class.

The ELO studio, from where professors conduct their lessons, are set up with robotic tracking cameras that allow them to engage in one-on-one conversations with students, as if they were sitting side-by-side. Faculty are able to stand and move freely, maintain eye contact with students and respond to their visual cues, moderate discussions and more, all in real-time. The technology enables them to evaluate each student’s level of engagement, respond to them individually and keep them motivated – just like they would do in a conventional classroom. Classes are timetabled, questions are asked and answered immediately, and the engagement is on par with what one would experience in a traditional classroom. An advantage of this technology is that while the faculty delivers the lecture from an SP Jain ELO studio, the student could be in any corner of the world.

Nitish adds that although the ELO was launched with the objective of making SP Jain’s Executive MBA more accessible to busy working professionals, since the COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020, almost all of the School’s programs were migrated to ELO. “Since February 2020, over 1,100 students from 25 countries have experienced this technology and the feedback has been outstanding (student feedback rates ELO at 9/10 on technology). We are now working round the clock to embellish ELO with new technology-driven features like learning analytics to decode student learning patterns and trends, and provide important insights to faculty.

SP Jain School of Global Management witnesses 50% growth in Executive MBA enrolments

SP Jain School of Global Management

Date: September 10, 2020

Even as worldwide MBA enrolments fell owing to the COVID-19 crisis, SP Jain School of Global Management reported a solid 50% growth in student numbers for its Executive MBA program. The program is delivered using a proprietary Engaged Learning Online (ELO) technology and the institute attributes the significant spike in student numbers to the success of this technology.

For its June 2020 Online cohort, the Executive MBA witnessed a growth in numbers from multiple Indian cities, as well as from different international destinations such as Australia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and USA, thus giving students access to a global, multi-cultural network. Students have on an average 13+ years of work experience and represent a wide range of industries such as automobile, banking and finance, engineering, hospitality, IT and government sectors. In response to the evolving needs of a modern organisation, SP Jain School of Global Management’s EMBA curriculum has recently been updated to incorporate a number of technology courses into the business curriculum. The advanced course structure is a blend of core course subjects, electives, simulations and projects, and students can specialize in areas such as marketing, finance, operations, entrepreneurship and general management.

The SP Jain EMBA is an 18-month part-time program which is delivered using ELO, a sophisticated online learning system that replicates a live classroom down to its last detail, thanks to a number of high-end features, shares Nitish Jain, President, SP Jain School of Global Management.

The ELO studio is set up with a robotic tracking camera for the faculty, that allows them to move freely, maintain eye contact with students, respond to their visual cues, moderate discussions and more, all in real time. Faculty and students are able to engage in one-on-one conversations as if they were sitting side-by-side. ELO enables the faculty to evaluate each student’s level of engagement, respond to them individually and keep them motivated – just like they would do in a conventional classroom. A big advantage is that ELO engages even those students who wouldn’t have normally participated in an on-campus classroom discussion.

The increase in online enrolments – at a time of uncertainty in MBA enrolments – is noteworthy,” shares Nitish. “Unlike Zoom, Google Meet or other popular video conferencing software that were mostly designed for office use, the emphasis within ELO is upon ‘student engagement’. Over 350 EMBA students have experienced this technology since June 2020, and the experience has been fantastic. We are constantly collecting feedback and tweaking our technology to ensure that it is at the forefront of online education.”

In addition to the online version, SP Jain delivers an onsite Executive MBA in Mumbai, Singapore and Dubai. These too have performed very well thereby positioning the School as one of the leading EMBA providers for those looking for a high quality course that leads to leadership positions in the corporate sector.

Strong start for SP Jain’s Proprietary ELO Technology in 2019

SP Jain Events

Date: December 4, 2019

SP Jain School of Global Management (SP Jain) recently announced the ongoing successful student enrolments for programs offered using its new Engaged Learning Online (ELO) technology. With over 200 students across its four campuses have used the ELO technology.

“We are seeing an increasing number of students move online for the convenience and flexibility it offers. However, standard online learning, in my view, is not living up to its potential, in that it is failing quite miserably to engage, motivate and excite students. That is why you’ll notice that most students who enroll in online programs drop out even before they reach the halfway mark,” shares Nitish Jain, President of the School.

“With ELO, we have been able to adopt a more proactive approach to addressing the wide gaps left by online education in student engagement and motivation. Using some of today’s most cutting-edge learning technologies, we have been able to bring to life an actual classroom-like experience into the homes and workspaces of our students. They don’t have to come to campus; they can log in from any corner of the world and get all the benefits of an on-campus education, including one-to-one and group engagement with faculty and peers. Student response to this technology has been very positive and we are thrilled by it,” adds Nitish.

The first program to be launched using this unique technology was the School’s part-time Executive MBA. “The Engaged Learning Online platform of SP Jain is interactive and promising compared to other regular online courses. The experience is as good as sitting in a physical classroom, and my interactions with faculty and classmates have been excellent,” shares Pavan Teyari, student of the EMBA program taught through ELO. Pavan is the Director of Business Development at a leading digital innovation consulting firm.
