Strong leadership is about Honesty, Integrity, Commitment, Passion, and Vision

As a leader one needs to be an unambiguous communicator in terms of delegating

Work, empowering the team and at the same time infusing a high level of desired motivation from time to time. Leadership can never be performed successfully at an individual level hence; one need to consider internal and external aspects involved in attaining desired results.

Leadership style reflects the attitude and pattern of an organization’s working culture. As Director of Evolve Business School, I believe in teamwork and adopt an inclusive leadership style. Being flexible and patient listener invariably helped me to be more empathetic with Gen X and Gen Y thus guiding their career.

At our B-school, we work on Parents-Teacher’s Partnership model. We believe parents are an integral entity of our institute just like our students. Student clubs are quite prominent and work in collaboration with teachers. The management body is completely involved and monitors functioning at a micro-level. We maintain a highly cordial bond between students and teachers.

EBS encourages a Hybrid Education Model: a new of its kind in India

There is certainly a huge unfortunate gap between the quality of education provided and the skills that are actually required in the job market. Our conventional education is more of classroom theory focussed. I recommend more of Experiential Learning at all the levels of Educational Institutes involving live case study-based projects for most of the subjects. At least one live project per year with report submission and presentation should be an integral component of evaluation for each student. Guest Lectures from industry experts should be there simultaneously with the regular subject classes.

Hybrid Education should be allowed wherein students will have the liberty to select subjects from different streams. Example: a technical student can have the option of having a few Liberal Arts or Commerce subjects along with the set of core technical subjects and vice versa. It will help students to have a comparatively wider career scope and knowledge. It will also help students to nurture their hobbies.

Industry/summer Internship Duration should be increased to at least one semester so that youngsters can have better functional and application understanding of their knowledge. In return, Industry will have a pool of already trained professionals. Relentless technical, communication, language behavioral training(s) will help in minimising the gap.

Bridging the gap between the syllabi taught and market skills requirement

At EBS, we follow a value-based holistic development approach wherein classroom teaching along with sturdy inbound and outbound training is a mandate for the students. Inbound training is robust combinations encircling different aspects like Intelligent Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), Human Quotient (HQ) and Spiritual Quotient (SQ) other than managerial and communication skills.

We have a few additional subjects apart from the university curriculum. We encourage students to take benefit from Govt. programs like MOOCs, SWAYAM, to name a few. Each student has to perform 100 hrs of outbound assignments comprising of CSR activities.

As a National Level Judo Player – I strongly believe that Sports in academic curriculum should be mandatory as it is necessary for mental growth of the students.

Other than specialized guest sessions we organize summer internship and industrial visits for our students. The unique feature of EBS is our value-based live projects wherein we provide need-based services catering to different segments of society through our students monitored by various NGOs. EBS has a prominent status in Navi Mumbai region as we are associated with different authorities like Rotary Club, Specialised Hospitals, Govt. organizations, underprivileged groups, and more to perform our charity services. EBS has UNBEATEN campus culture. Parents and teachers hold a very cordial bond and each student is given personal attention.

EBS harness individual and social skills of each student at 360-degree level

All our students get personalized coaching and mentorship as per their competencies. Committed and dedicated efforts are taken to bring out the best in the student. We provide time to time career guidance and counselling without fail.

Relentless Image Management Program for all students has proven remarkably landmark achievement in terms of grooming and making them industry-ready. Industry internship during each summer breaks including one paid internship is provided by EBS. Our social assignments imbibe exceptional social etiquettes and human values. We organise pre-placement training before placement drives for all the students as per industry standards. We also provide lodging support to outside students through our associate hostels.

Available 24X7, I maintain affable relations with my students

EBS is like a close-knit family to me and I make sure to remain available for my students for any personal or professional help. They can write to me on emails or contact me directly in the office. The same approach is followed by all our faculty members. They act more as mentors to students rather than as teachers.

Today’s youth must have a crystal-clear vision

I have seen many students struggling with their own thought processes. Majority of them are confused about their future, especially about their career. The reason behind this confusion is the abundance of information, which is readily available on the internet. My suggestion to the students is to never succumb to situations. It is necessary to share your thoughts with someone who has experience and knowledge. Doing so will make you all, have a clear and a strong vision about your future.
