What are your responsibilities towards the students?

“Train the mind and develop the mental strength of responsible professionals”

As role models, teachers are always looked up to by students, whether consciously or unconsciously. It is my responsibility to turn them into responsible citizens by training their minds and developing their mental strength. I listen patiently and help them discipline their thinking. Among my responsibilities are assigning homework, evaluating and grading, and documenting progress with engaging lesson plans.

How do you try to bring in a practical approach towards subjects?

“Experiential learning, projects, case-oriented studies and online courses”

My objective is to create interest in the subjects I teach by showing the connection between theory and practice in the real world. Students are given small projects to carry out where they can apply their theoretical knowledge in practical fields to find solutions to real-life business problems. We encourage and guide students to take appropriate online courses to upgrade their skills.

What are the best practices offered by the department to the students?

“Corporate Training Cell for students to improve their employability”

Apart from regular classroom teaching, various pedagogies are incorporated into the learning process. It includes peer-to-peer learning, soft skills training, industrial field visits and internships. Additionally, case studies, presentations, mock GD-PI, seminars and conferences are also organized. This is done to hone their business skills. We have a separate Corporate Training Cell to enhance the employability of the students.

How does your department prepare students for Higher education?

“Case-based studies, projects and foreign language training”

Our students are trained to solve business cases, write and present academic papers. Also, carry out business research projects and study foreign languages so that they get additional advantages in admission interviews for higher studies. Students are encouraged to read various reference books apart from their regular textbooks. These practices help them to cope up with the academic demands of higher studies as well in the future.

How do you help your student to cope up in the competitive world?

“Building academically strong and mentally tough professionals”

In our classroom, we do not prepare our students to compete in rat races. We should instead make sure they are academically strong and mentally tough so that they can maintain their mental and professional equilibrium in any scenario. To learn about the expectations of the modern industry, students are exposed to stress interviews.

What do you see as the department’s greatest strengths?

"Faculty is one of the most valuable assets of Management department”

Faculty members are the greatest strength of the Management department. Their dedication and competence are second to none. Throughout the year, academic conferences and seminars are held to improve the department's quality. A departmental business journal will add more strength to the department.

Patience, diligence, and determination are essential in a professionals life”

Be sincere in all you do and always show passion in your work. You will get your reward in due time if you have patience, diligence, and determination. Make sure you take criticism and advice as a tool to grow professionally, instead of letting them hurt your feelings. The importance of punctuality is paramount everywhere. It is true that you are on time when you are early, but you are late when you are on time.
